Toast The Big 4 all getting over a million people through the gate in season 2023

Why do collingwood get a more favourable fixture? Well it’s simple to figure out. The afl know we are the biggest club and all the other 17 clubs know this as well. They all request to have a home game against us. Eddie McGuire even said that collingwood is the only club to not put in a fixturing request.

just to name a few:
anzac day
kings b'day
no saturday nights in melb
no thursday nights in melb
gold coast during school holidays
easter thursday night in brisbane
6 of the last 7 years play friday night opening round
14 games at the MCG

As you can see there aren't many spots left, so why would Coll hand in a fixture request? Year after year of the AFL giving them everything they want means there's no reason at all to hand in a request. They've got the AFL trained like little puppy dogs.

Now Coll want to hijack the opening game of the season by having a stand alone game in Sydney, one week before all the other games. They were angry that the AFL wouldn't give them Coll/Rich to open every season on a Friday night back in the day, so now they think they are being upstaged by Carl/Rich and want an entire round to themselves in Sydney.

Now if the AFL don't approve it Eddie and the Coll media machine will get on the front foot with their usual nonsense. They will then cry like babies year after year until they get it.

They will also have an on field advantage of having an extra week to get over niggles before they play their second game.

If the AFL's goal is to make Collingwood the super club of the competition they should just come out and say, if it's not they should tell them to bugger off.

Lol look at our crowds against interstate clubs this year. Has Carlton ever drawn over 50,000 v an interstate club.

Collingwood is the biggest by a huge margin. Carlton would actually be the smallest out of the big 4 Victorian clubs in Melbourne. Interstate the blues would be third behind collingwood and Essendon
prove it? i'd argue that interstate, carlton would be the biggest fan base of the big four

Big 4 :) Start playing these team at 4pm on Sundays and see how you go.
Essendon drew 21k against Gold Coast Sunday at 4 pm. Their fifth highest ever home crowd, and the highest on a Sunday. We do okay in that crowd.

Why are Carlton not in the Top 20 All Time Home and Away Crowds in Western Australia vs Eagles?
Why are Carlton not in the Top 20 All Time Home and Away Crowds in Sydney. vs Swans Collingwood is there 9 times.
Why are Carlton not in the Top 20 All Time Home and Away Crowds in Sydney vs Giants
Why has Carlton never drawn more than 50,00 against Dockers in WA. Collingwood has.
Why does Collingwood have the Top 2 and 3 of the Top 4 Home and Away Crowds vs Brisbane in Qld
Why are Carlton not in the Top 20 All Time H and A crowds in Adelaide vs Crows

Point Proven

Yeah, but they're only facts - they prove nothing!

I'd prefer to go with the Carlton supporter's 'vibe', without having done an iota of research on the topic...

Like how you changed it from top 20 for Freo and Brisbane to suit your argument.🤣 Carlton are in the top 20 for Swans, Freo, Brisbane, Suns and Port. Point proven 👍

Collingwood but Carlton and Essendon have as many as the Pies Australia wide just been shit for so long.
I disagree. Collingwood has the most supporters Australia wide hands down, but probably only just in front of WC. They got 90K to the Freo final at the G in 2022 when probably be lucky to have 5K going for Freo there. No one else can draw like that vs an interstate team.

If the Collingwood Melbourne fan base is undisputed, why would Carlton/Essendon have more or equal in other states than Collingwood when it probably just a factor of migration out of Melbourne for work?

Yeah wc fans are huge in number but they're centred here and not many elsewhere. Where as the big 4 have large fan bases all over the continent.

Every year I try to get a WA collingwood membership, sold out as soon as they're available though, can't get one. See lot's of CFC, ess and rich member number plates on cars over here too.

Same goes for Carlton v Sydney last year 92,000 with lowest Swans turnout I've ever seen.

If Carlton and Essendon had the same success as Collingwood over the last 20 years it wouldn't be so clear cut.

Essendon drew 21k against Gold Coast Sunday at 4 pm. Their fifth highest ever home crowd, and the highest on a Sunday. We do okay in that crowd.
Thats was a huge attendance. Unlike majority of Suns home sellouts previously, this wasn’t in school holidays or during a Vic public holiday. It was the first time I can remember a legit Essendon played up here on the coast, and it certainly felt to me like the crowd was probably 60/40 (or more likely 55/45) in the Bombers favour. Abd these were in large part Bomber fans local to SEQ as it wasn’t a slot that Victorians could travel for… Certainly highlighted the strength of Essendon’s national support, build during those Sheedy years in the 1980’s/90’s.

We’ve argued the toss on several occasions however I agree there’s not as much gap between the big three Vic clubs as most would believe. Richmond, who don’t have the same breadth of national support as their three counterparts are on the next run in terms of ‘national’ support.

The arguments have been epic 🤣... being unbiased here I don't there is much at all between the three.

And we still have bigger home crowd this year and in 2022 🤣 stick to public holidays to bump up your crowds. 👍

Thanks for proving our point. Your away crowds are woeful as you have no National drawing power. I love when you don’t need to present facts and someone beats themselves
