Everyone has there own way of dealing with things. Anyone who goes through trauma knows that. The fact we are tallking about stuff like this though not the other is so fken pleasing.

Fair enough. Sorry for my pessimism, but 18 months ago we were told my father had been clear for 2 years and it was onward and upwards.
He didn't make last Christmas. Apologies for my over caution after what we went through.

I dont think you need to apologise at all. But Gunston said similar things a month ago, so you would think he would have been asked not to repeat them if they really were not likely.

So in Roughie's case maybe the news is good. Though I suspect he will be having 3 or 6 month scans for the rest of his life - given how quickly it came back this time.

Anything is possible but I suspect Hodge will captain for a final year or there will be generational change to someone like Shiels or Gunston. Nice sentiments re Roughy but that is not the Hawthorn way.

We have posters here who post little bits of info about how he's tracking, what good results he's recieved, how many weeks he's been training for...

To believe that Gunston doesn't know any of this or how Roughead is tracking is nonsensical.

Fantastic news. Really sensational news. To beat a secondary cancer is just fantastic - let us hope this is the end of the battle for Rough and that the bloody thing stays away for good.
