In terms of teams, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide might all be in trouble - but for very different reasons.
Melbourne's backline is a problem, despite the best efforts of Carroll etc.
Brisbane are unstable. That can't be a good thing.
Adelaide is aging. They may have missed their shot.
As for players, you reckon Fevola is in for some curry.
3rd best backline in the comp statistically, and the hardest backline in the comp to take a mark in (and it isn't flooding, its RIVERS).
Our issue isn't any particular area of our team, it isnt' forward, it ins't back it's not in the middle.
It's whether we haev the mental ability to maintain the rage for 22 rounds, AND whether we have enough to compensate for the fact wen don't have a genuine star player.
We don't have a Judd/Hall/Pavlich type player - Brock took some good steps towards it last year but he would have to improve on that AGAIN to get into the league of those three.
Neitz is as good a FF as there is in the comp right now, and will kick his 70+
Davey is still Aaron Davey, only needs it ten or so times a game and it will hurt the opposition
White is a very good ruckman and jamar/PJ offer adequate back up without being flash.
Rivers and Carrol are going great guns in defence with Matthew Whelan marshalling the troops back there.
TJ/Bruce/McDonald form a good experienced core for our midfield but the place where we really need the improvement to come from is: Sylvia, Jones, Bate, Miller
If those guys step up another notch this year we can do anything we want.
