Yeah, that's why he made the AA team and also won the B&F the year we made the Grand Final....
When we have outside mids, mcroich is a gun. But he's not an inside mid that wins games. Has no vision or creativity. When we're bad he looks pedestrian.

McGovern is a mercurial forward with tremendous goal nous and if he'd played all 21 games this year would be up in the 40 goal range. Still only 24(drafted at 20) so just hitting that age where KPF start to really show their worth.
Kennedy under Teague has been our most improved player, plays as a third tall that can run through the midfield.
O'Brien is in his second year and was thrown all around the shop by Bolton, just settling into the level required for AFL, pace to burn and a lovely left foot.
Any chance you and the Bulldogs supporter can take this somewhere a bit more appropriate, like not on our board. We don’t give a shit about your list

McGovern is a third tall forward that has averaged 8 disposals, 3 marks (only .47 contested, easily a career low) and 1.3 tackles while kicking a solid 22 goals in 15 games. Congratulations, you are paying an out of shape Billy Gowers $700k per year.
Matt Kennedy has been so disappointing as a midfielder (slow, poor user) that he’s been banished to the forward line despite being traded for specifically as big bodied support for Cripps. He’s so slow that he’s effectively a fourth KPF, even though he isn’t a marking threat. If you remove one 7 tackle game, he somehow averages less than 1 tackle per game on the season, which is pathetic for a purported midfielder/half forward.
Lachie O’Brien is a strictly outside player with poor foot skills and shonky decision making. Another that is allergic to tackling. Would anyone take him in the first two rounds, if the 2017 draft was redone now? I highly doubt it.

I've got no axe to grind against Adelaide and FWIW looking in from the outside - your Club's problem seems to be that the players aren't playing for the coach. Too much talent not playing anywhere near its real potential - too much lack of team play compared to 2017. No way should Adelaide not be playing finals and contending. Disharmony.
As for Gibbs - not every Carlton supporter/member was unhappy to see him go - but he is a much better player than he has shown in 2019.

Now we can just speculate what the two first round draft picks would've been like for us now. We do know that one of them would've been Fogarty anyway as for the other pick who knows now.

Certainly cleaned us up with Gibbs, but happy for what we got for Gov and the pick swap.Went to the classroom but SOS had it booked out giving young Reid more lessons!!
Actually, McGovern always commanded the 4th best tall defender after Walker, Jenkins and Lynch at the Crows......and that's why 2017 was consider a weak draft compared to other years.

The other thing is with Gibbs, SOS obviously knew about Gibbs gambling issues. So to not be reasonable when it came to him wanting to get away from it gives a fair indication of what SOS is like
Speculation, but probably correct. It's also possible that Young Reid knew about the gambling problems but "backed the boys" to fix it. It's not as if Gibbs has been unable to play, he's just been out of form.
I’m sure Reid did and which is fair.
So odds are SOS held him there for another year even when he knew there were personal issues and even the following year played funny buggers.
And yet you all laud SOS and the way he acted.
We can separate the humanitarian side vs the business side.
We laud his business side. On this trade, he schooled a young man installed at the club through nepotism.
We don't know enough about the rest to be sure about the humanitarian side.
