Gav, I think the interview questions might’ve given it away:

Q1/ Icebreaker question - why do you want the job.

Q2/ Do you think you could do as good job than say a Ross Lyon.

Q3/ Ross is a pretty good coach, don’t you think.

Q4/ Have you coached any AFL teams to a grand final.

Q5/ Optional question - only if applicant hasn’t walked out yet....

Q6) Talk about your previous assistant coaching experience at Carlton.

Q7) Have you the support of any club legends?

Q8) Do any of Carltons Premiership Captain's think you are a tough bastard?

It was interesting that Healy basically said if Clarkson is not available RTB should be next coach of Carlton.

So those idiotic Carlton Now peeps cost us a crack at Clarko?!?

Yeah, but they'll use the sacking of Teague costing us Clarkson as part of their argument.

They don't see how their grass roots 'wanna be president for a day' dummy spit, harms a club in the process. They just saw anger and wanted to capitalise on it.

Feeling like spewing up with SEN’s current over the top, wrap fest, love fest about the Craig McRae appointment. Nothing against McRae, but Gerard and his co-host are stacking it on so thick that it smells. Give it a break…

I hope we sign Clarko to coach to hear the media say he is too old to coach and doesn’t have the hunger anymore.

I’m getting tired of whinging vigilante media do-gooders.

Same here mate. Screw them, it feels like it’s the media against Carlton. I hope Luke Sayers dishes out as good as they give.

Whinging about the media is as tiresome as the media targeting us tbf.

We're a high profile club, one of the top 3 or so. We're always going to be heavily talked about and we've made ourselves a very easy target this so far this century.
Exactly. The flip side is that everyone will talk about the club once we start winning. Not sure there'll be too many complaints then...

Think of our critiquing of the media as independent personal media about the established media. We’re doing what they do. :)

Until Carlton is actually able to “fu** the rest” we are going to have to live with it.

;)

That’s too true.

Win and they will leave you alone, actually laud your team/club until there’s a player/club muck up, a fall down the ladder order or if there is no other targets for them to write about and justify their existence.

This is nothing new from the media. They know we should be in a far better spot and so do i. Things can turn quickly.
Not wrong.
If Port gets rolled next week then Hinkley is going to be under the pump, and could possibly be pushed out after another PF failure. The SA press will go after him hard.

If Melbourne gets rolled then the media mafia will be lining up against Goodwin but more so against the players..mentally weak etc and calling for a clean out.

If Geelong gets knocked out in straight sets then Scott's time as coach must be up and will probably end.

If the Dogs get rolled, it will go down as the biggest choke of the season, considering where they were early in the year. It will also raise concerns about Beveridge and his tactics and refusal to play a ruckman in the final. Beveridge & Scott critics will argue they only succeeded on the back of others who did the hardwork i.e. Thompson & McCartney.

If Brisbane get rolled, then Fagan's ability will come into question, as well as his age? Is he up to the modern game etc etc or has it passed him by. Is it time for Luke Hodge to step up, like Mitchell did at Hawforn.

GWS is probably the only team where the coach should be lauded for his performance. He has done a magnificent job considering the injury toll and stupidity of Greene. Everytime they have taken the field with their kids, they have done brilliantly. When their experienced players come back they seem to go back a step. Time for them to offload and pick up some decent draft picks, not that this has been a problem since Carlton has been a wonderful benefactor over the years.

I think you've got every single one of these calls wrong. Maaaybe the port one is on the money but all the others....?!?!

Well ofcourse I have, because not every team can lose. Just expanding on the likely reaction if these teams lose.
Fagan & Beveridge may have something to worry about unless one of them makes the GF.
Geelong will probably outlast GWS as the emotional win against Sydney may take its toll.

Better to examine other clubs shortcomings than having to continually read about Carlton's failures.
