The part that doesn't sit right with me, is why did some of these players extend their contracts recently?

Hating a coach because they aren't getting a game is one thing. But what's changed n the space of six months?

Has Richo gone all Mr Hyde,or have they lost faith in the plan?

There is another option - perhaps its simply not true.

Just like I haven't seen any meaningful media discussion regarding Richo , there is also a serious media vacuum when it comes to comment on a player led revolt at St Kilda.

Why is that?

I was 100% confident Richo was gone from Friday to Sunday, Monday I was even more confident.
But sadly things are going from bad to worse. I was told today that a couple of board members are backing Richo all the way and it’s looking less likely that will waver.
The main person that is feeding me my info on this matter said that if nothing happens by Friday afternoon then it’ll be looking much more likely than not that Richo will coach next year.
I’m hoping for the board to come around because if they don’t I’m genuinely worried about where we will be at as a club. How can you retain players when the coach is so unliked and how can you recruit players when everyone knows we will be sacking a coach next season?
I have my fingers crossed but this is all so St Kilda, it’s like we are deliberately making the worst decisions possible. I’ve been through some rubbish with this club for a very long time but this is as bad of a position that I’ve seen this club in. God help us all.

Are the media just hiding the story?

If a number of players demanded the coach be sacked or they would walk, SURELY that would be in the media, especially if a few posters on here know about it.

So is it going to come out... is it being deliberately hid by the media.... or is it bullshit?

He rates basset and backs him
He won’t join the board
He backs the changes being made
He has a relationship with cho
He felt cho would be coach next year

But at no point did he back cho nor did he answer a direct question on whether he thought he should be coach...he just said he thought he would be

Yeah Watters found it hard to coach with a knife in his back. Jeans was the greatest Saint of all- bar none.

Still reckon Richo will hold the fort next year, and they have already lined up (or are confident of lining up) a top notch coach for 2020. They probably all know that is the case. Roo too. Holding pattern. Why get an interim in for a year? Ratten has apparently indicated he doesn't want Head Coaches jobs. I really don't think he is an option.
