Yep - You get some right, you get some wrong.
(but i developed a bit of a vacant stare after that one)

the start of the show on the rehab group was great

Well looking back on it yeah wish had his time again but Tippett at 18 to 19 must of Really Really Came on.

Also said Witts is 210cm

Was depressing seeing all those guys in rehab.....

true - but i love some of the insights on the show
see Krak and Caff - and hearing them talk about the struggle - really makes me appreciate what's going on at the Club even more
that 60 minute "sermon" on Sunday looked brutal - boys put their heads down and went for it

I haven't heard 'grouse' used in a long time but it is a warm fuzzy word which I never realised was a Melbourne specialty. Not having Foxtel, I, too, graze these arid fields in search of sustenance of The Club variety to be digested at a sitting. What was the 'Sunday 60 minute sermon'? Did Bucks mount the black and white pulpit and berate, cajole, lecture, inspire or even bore the boys for an hour? Is it the name of some dreaded new training procedure that's like a one hour sermon in its toll on the mind and body? Please explain.

Hine talked about Rusling as the first special talent he saw.

You wonder how good he could have been.

Yeah and you could see how Sad Hine was about it.

Sean just had Dodgy shoulders

There were about 3 clubs who were over Rusling pre-draft. Hine told him to focus on his school football & made him play a game in the West Adelaide reserves to qualify for the draft.

It was interesting hearing his comments on Stewart. Very low key, there is no use talking him up & I believe they have told him to focus on his school football at every opportunity this year.

I sort of got the idea he wanted to talk up Witts but was careful to.

I am in Adelaide and it's a bit harder to hear VFL news over here. Would love to hear that he is coming on as we hope he will.

Cox over Tippett?

My mouth hit the floor for the rest of the episode over that one.

Can you imagine having Tippett down there now instead of Dawes? My lord.

Yeah, there's a mea culpa if ever there was one.

Sigh, it makes me homesick whenever I read/hear "grouse" :)

It's such a Melbourne thing.

I just love the word. I get sick of people saying amazing like amaaayyyyzing. And also "sooo goooooooood". Cannot stand people who say "oh man thats wicked". Just shut ya trap and say grouse. :)

The 60 minute sermon was very interesting mate. Was Butters telling the rehab group that they had an hour to do about 10 or so different exercises for 5 minutes each with a 1 minute break. Then it showed a bit of a montage of Tooves, Reidy, Caff, Bally, Pendles, et al all doin their little circuits.

The episode on a whole was really good. Seeing how close Krak and Caff are with each other, going through the rehab and time off playing together, they are lucky to have each other! SIDE BY SIDE WE STICK TOGETHER. Caff is looking HUGE as well, very much bulkier than I recall. Krak looks focussed. With the people we have to support them, these guys are blessed.

I was upset at seeing Keeffe in visible pain trying to straighten his knee :(
It really hit home how hard it must be for the blokes who do their knees.
Hang in there Keeffe, look to Bally for a companion and Krak/Caff for some inspiration.

SIDE BY SIDE

(PS - love the show)

As of next week the Club will be on Tuesday nights @ 9:30

9:05 AM Wed 20 Jun, 2012

Tune into The Club on Fox Footy on Wednesday night at 9pm to hear Nathan Buckley's in-depth mid-season review.

Tonight on The Club

Tune in to Fox Footy (channel 504) from 9pm to hear Buckley discuss the start to his coaching career that has seen his men endure several long-term injuries but bounce back to win the past eight in succession.

Watch the first segment of last week's episode above or click here for past episodes.

The coach discusses his handling of the season so far and breaks down the tumultuous week that followed the 10 goal loss to Carlton in round three in which he tamed the media circus at a press conference at the St Kilda Sea Baths.

Fans will also find out what Buckley has enjoyed and what has caused headaches for him and his new coaching panel as they have embarked on their new journey.

In Vintage Collingwood, 1990 premiership captain Tony Shaw catches up with favourite son Rene Kink to discuss his career and what he has been up to since he left the club at the end of 1983.

There will also be a very special guest player joining Glen Moriarty in the studio. It is definitely an episode you will not want to miss.[\QUOTE]

Please note that from next week, The Club will be airing on Fox Footy at 9.30pm on Tuesday nights.
