While otherwise intelligent people refusing to even try to see alternative viewpoints (such as, he's not liked as a footballer, and plenty of others have received the same or worse treatment) is a pathetic and submissive side of human nature.

it should be capable of debate - from either perspective. It's the inability of people from both sides of the fence to even consider the opposing argument, at any level, that frustrates me.

doesn't matter if it's politics , religion, race etc - there is only one subject where there can only be one right answer. Hawthorn are A holes ...
