Because we're a young team that struggles to put two good qtrs together. Nothing too unusual. Still leading btw
There are 11 Freo players playing today with less than 50 games experience. Some of the more critical posts here are absurd considering they seem to come from some of posters who said we needed to play youth. Logue and Ryan also looking superb today.

Logue's spoiling and helping out team mates while keeping a player as big and athletic as Daw quiet has been superb. Griffin is definitely a player who can play as a key defender. For all the criticism on here, his last two weeks and the first half today he has done a superb job shutting down his man. Agree, he's made a few errors with ball in hand, but seriously what do people expect from a first year player who was late to the game? Our most athletic young tall defensive prospect since Mcpharlin and a far better kick at the same age. Can play on small too.

Ryan's kicking is wonderful. Hughes too has been great and broke more than a few tackles. The bloke on debut not doing too badly either. Cox still looking superb in patches. Tucker is building and we have one of the best 19 year old ruckman in recent memory. Rebuild has come on in leaps and bounds in the last three weeks.

Edit Ryan: What a deadset wonderful mark. Darcy just covered two players to spoil that wasn't his man.

No Dawson, Spurr, Ibbo or Sutcliffe in the backline and our ball movement coming out looks 200% better in the hands of MJ, Ryan, Hughes and Weller. I'm really surprised at how quick Hughes is adapting to AFL. He's doing what Ibbo used to do and has a higher ceiling.
Well tbf only really spurrs been a mainstay this year of that lot...but your point still stands....I for one am glad he 's not down there (spurr).
Only early but its not looking 'grim at all 'as some of his supporters would have you believe with him not in the side.
There are players who do deserve the gold pass...he certainly shouldn't be one

Was more reffering to the difference between round 1 and even pre season when we were all calling for changes as the same players were playing s$%t all last season and pre season.
