$100 gift card with a $400 purchase from the Stores today only. Online shipping orders only. Good opportunity to get something back if you covet one of the expensive big sets :thumbsu:. I was thinking of the Eldorado Fortress ...

Standard delivery is $12.50, more for sets over 3kg (which would be most of the big ones - there's also no free ship threshold).

EDIT : Typo

Stumbled across this today

Cheers for that, some interesting lots there. Not sure I'd bid without knowing what they might need to be completed, but I'd love Emerald Night.

Collectors often report finding nuggets in the bulk brick lots including old rare sets, but I guess that's a complete pot luck.

Currently building Perseverence. They've done a good job replicating it's ungainliness ;). It's good to do a Technic set that's not a car.

If you're into the NASA sets this is a must have. It's expensive at RRP, but is available at the majors and I think is on sale at Myer and amazon already.

Also, Lego Masters are casting again if any of yo are really, really good!

I'm not, it blows me away how quickly they're able to build enormous, intricate MOC builds.

Realised today that it's been 6 weeks since I made my Voltron pick a brick order.

I had to split it into 3 orders, which they then split into "standard" pieces (which the site says can take up to 28 days) and "best seller" pieces (which the site says can take 15 days.)

So I'm expecting 6 bags - I still only have 3 of them. And it's the 3 "standard pieces" bags which are meant to take longer, something's gone wrong with filling the "best seller" orders I think.

I've just got in touch with customer service. Pretty annoying though. I'm on a bit of a building hiatus at the moment while I decide whether I'm trying to buy a place (in which case you'd create permanent display solutions), or whether I'm going to stay in my rental and just buy another cabinet, or whether I'm going to tell them to jam their proposed rent increase and move everything...

I do have a spot in the current cabinet reserved for Voltron though. I've been hanging out for the pieces, cos the way everything is sorted (or not) means it's going to be a good, detailed, month-long build I think, and everything else will be able to sit while I make some major life decisions.

I'm gonna pick a brick either the older or newer Hogwarts carriages on the small set and have a longer train when i finally get in the new place

I've never picked a brick and have been inspired by the efforts in here
Yeah that's probably not a bad place to start. The carriages are pretty simple builds. There are a couple of stickers though.

Just thinking long-term
Itd look so much better with say 4 carriages
Stickers I'll just get some more done or just not have any
Anyway this is ages away

Was in the Marion SA lego shop about ten days ago and nearly grabbed the brickheadz Potters

Kinda regretting I didn't as they dont seem to get stocked at the cheaper stores

Rivendale looked good too.
They hadn't built it but it looked good just in the box lol

Every week or 2 I watch a Formula 1 Grand Prix and yearn for the Mclaren build, I still think it's the funnest build I've done.

The other thing I do every time I watch a GP is focus particular attention on the Ferraris... I think, using pick a brick and the McLaren instructions, it would be real easy to build this seasons Ferrari. (I think it'd be real easy to build Alonso's Aston Martin as well, but I'm not 100% sold on any particular pick a brick colour - and it'd be a big order to get it here and decide the colour's wrong!)

Only bugger with F1 cars is that if you're going to MOC/semi-MOC them you probably need a decent quality printer and labels to print your own decals, you cant really do F1 cars without them.

In the ideas section a Creator version of the Red Bull hit 10k a couple of months ago, but with licensing and approvals apparently you're looking at a 2-year process before any potential release :'(

Might see about pricing Ferrari PAB pieces in the next few days... although I'll have to see about creating a new basket, cos I still have 600 pieces for my other MOC idea sitting there waiting for double points.

The Great Wave and Perseverance both discounted to $111 at Target, as well as a few other decent specials.

It annoys me when stuff that's still on my pile has a really good special like that.

I'm with you on these two, although I decided to buy both on release despite expecting the price to fall in time. Sometimes it's exciting to get the new sets when they do come out.

Mid-range Technic sets, in particular, are often widely available at around a third off not long after release (the Peugeot for example) but I thought Perseverance would last a little longer than that ;).
