Bag 3 starts the main part of the castle. It's pretty solid. That's enough for today as I don't want to rush it.
You can start to see where the piece count comes from. It's far more substantial than I thought. Unfortunately none of the stores I've been to have one built so it was difficult to judge.
I can keep taking photos as I build.
Bag 4 is the front garden and the start of the castle walls and more steps. Enjoying this.
Bag 5 is walls along the left side and frame across the front
Bag 6 is dark grey rooftops on the left and the far right. There is a lot of detail.
Bag 7 is the floor for the main part of the castle and some interior walls. 10 bags to go. Ask if you have any questions.
Bag 8 is another layer of walls and temple roof. Here's a cross section too.
Bag 9 is the white towards the back of the castle
Bag 10 is another layer at the front of the main part of the castle. 7 bags left. That's it for today.

Some rumours about the VIP weekend 18/19 Oct surfacing. Talks of two GWPs (Christmas and Majisto) as well as double points. Hopefully the Museum is still available for pre-order then, it might be a good time to pick it up.
Black Friday the following weekend should be the usual sale, the Avengers Tower launch and it seems there may be bonus points on certain sets.
I've found in previous years that the VIP weekend offers better value on most sets. The trouble is always taking a punt on what's on sale for BF.
One source I've seen says the Batbox is included in the BF sale.

I got my piranha plant yesterday.

Bag 13 is another layer on the front of the main part of the castle.
Bag 14 is another layer of the main castle bit. Plus here is a side
Bag 15 is another layer of the main castle part
Bag 16 is the last part of the main castle and some small trees
Bag 17 is the trees. Here is all 4 sides and a top view. I really enjoyed this one.
And size comparisons with tranquil gardens, small Taj Mahal and bonsai
Please ask if you want more photos. I think it's pretty good value for the price and it looks great with the tranquil garden.

I'd never do that many bags in a day (lego bags I mean), you've gotta savour it! (Much like the other kind of bags I guess.)
