Melbourne were there for the taking. Teams have heavy legs anyway after playing at Marvel and they were chasing bulldog tail all night just six days back.
But then you look at our forward line, in the wet, and yeah, nah that ain't getting it done.
Melbourne by 15

I'd be very surprised if we won easily, and not surprised if Melb won easily. Mostly I'm thinking it'll be a somewhat comfortable win to the Dees with our best case scenario being a narrow (less than 3 goals)win.
Dees by 22pts.

Unless something drastic changes from what we've produced over the last several weeks, I think we could get a bit hammered by Melbourne tonight.

Our forward entries and forward pressure of late have been poor, weather that be due to injury or form, either way it hasn't been good or near the standard we set earlier in the season when we were regularly kicking over 100 points per game.

If we carelessly bomb it inside 50 tonight as we have lately, that will play straight in Steven May and Jake Lever's hands. From that point they'll slice us up and get their game going.

If we're more methodical going inside 50, we have a chance, but we'll have to improve a fair bit on recent weeks. Need Tabs and Walters to significantly improve.

if it's wet, that will just hurt our chances even more.

Not without a chance, but i'm tipping Melbourne by 30ish

its been like a monsoon in the south. I can't see it stopping raining by the time of the game tbh.
Good thing we have a thing called the Bureau of Meteorology so that we don't have to rely on people's gut feelings. They happen to say that actually most of the rain has passed already, golly gosh!

How's the weather holding up? Will have a huge say.

Best result - we win, Jackson plays very well, takes marks and kicks goals

Worse result - we lose and he does zilch.
Rain forecast for 3/4pm but should be clear after

Which forecast are you looking at?

We had some rain just north of the city this morning, but it has stopped and there's just the type of cloud around that might give a little rain, but not a lot.
All of the BOM based forecasts suggest there's a low chance of much more, and negligible by the time bouncedown occurs.

Whatever is on Google. It's always been pretty accurate in terms of rainfall on game days. Was on the money for the hawks and Sydney games

That's weather.com, I haven't personally had a good experience with them but whatever way you look at it weather forecasting has a lot of uncertainty anyways.

I don’t think anyone knows who wins this one, I think we will have the better endurance after last week and the crowd in our sails. On the other hand Melbourne won’t be taking us for granted and will be waaay more of a handful than last time.

Lobb is a huge in. Time for Freddy to get back to the form he showed last time we played em.

Ticket's seem so have sold relatively well on ticketmaster. Wonder how many actually show up though.

Biggest worry is that last time Petracca was reportedly crook, and May getting concussed in the second threw their structures into disarray.

Yet they were still beating us by four goals or whatever it was until half time from which we tagged Oliver. We were still competitive with them when Ma was on the field. Petracca was the only point of difference by that stage.
