Wigan isn't really a decent club. They just got propped up by a local with a shit load of cash. It's a Rugby town and Championship-League 1 is their level. Same with Blackpool and Portsmouth in all honesty.
I do believe we'd have to get relegated past the tenth tier for that. With the way we're going though, anything is possible!

He’s only a small part of the problem.
The senior players have far too much influence on what occurs. Sahin, Schmelzer, reus and pizcu were at the crisis meetings. Why? I don’t know.
Bosz even when he was winning was worrying me. You don’t face teams with organised defence, compact lines and organised counters in the Dutch league. Why would he suddenly be able to change that?
He’s isolated our main cog in the midfield (weigl) and taken aubameyang our of position, whilst playing our best ball playing CB as a RWB. It’s been a mess.
On top of that, giving Sahin minutes over Dahoud, and then once Dahoud gets game time, having no midfield around him at all is absolutely criminal

Congrats on having a certain plan when going about the sacking.
But I'm a bit curious, what do you make of Koln's 17/18 start? Is it a little discouraging, considering he has been manager for 4 years as well (and was recently sacked)?
Köln is a basket case and it is 100% on the board. Stoeger came to Köln after being bought out of his contract at Wien. He won the title in his first year of his second stint against a really well resourced RB Salzburg team who had, amongst others, Kampl and Mane.
He came to Köln, saw them promoted, and then reach Europe for the first time in 25 years. Every year was an improvement.
Last summer, the Köln board decided to cash in on a 25 goal per year striker (Modeste), so no surprises the goals have dried up. They also have a very long injury list, including Hector. They simply don’t have the depth to cover that and it’s really no surprise they’re doing so poorly.

Can’t do any worse. At minimum, he’ll experiment, won’t concede like a prostitute and won’t feel the need to pander to the senior players given his short tenure. Looking forward to this midweek game

The Telegraph is reporting that Mikel Arteta is being lined up as a future Arsenal Manager.
I wonder if they would take him next season or want him to be a manager somewhere else beforehand (maybe NYCFC?), would think the latter....
