That said it’s funny how both the Bison and Inglis seem to both adapt well to shield cricket soon as they return after plYing white ball cricket
Curious about whether it’s harder for T20 openers to adapt to Test cricket better than 50 over cricket or is it the after work beers talking?

Feel like they come out with this article every couple of years

It could be over inside 3 days of the Indian's are all at sea and our blokes bat like they have been lately.

I thought the pitch was pretty good last year so hopeful of some good test cricket. The main thing is speeding up the outfield. You have to give the batsman reward for strokes if the surface is assisting the bowler. Needs to take a lot of height out of the field compared to the ODI.

Nah. I'm sick of seeing blokes block it through covers for four. Make a boundary difficult again. MABDA!

Konstas looks a talent, hopefully he maintains his progress

Pucovski would have been handy right about now.

He’s incredibly still at the crease, almost too still with no bat tap or trigger movement.

The gap between his bat and pad looks an issue though for an opener.

Dismissed in that fashion in a one dayer for NSW today; reckon he also got dismissed in a similar manner at the U19 WC last year on a couple of occasions.

Sure, if the pitch is flatter make the batsmen play stronger shots for their rewards. If the pitch is lively I'm 100% for the batsmen getting reward for the risk of strokeplay. Makes for the best challenge between bat and ball, which is where a test should be. The different disciplines should all get favourable conditions at various stages of the game.

Bancroft with the gloves. Why not give Joel Curtis some more experience? He's just peeled off his 4th A-Grade ton in 5 games (the other score was 68), and we can't make the final of the one-day comp, so seems like a wasted opportunity.
Unless we use Bancroft as our third-choice keeper in Shield cricket going forward, seeing as his Test career has gone nowhere.

Jhye looking back to his absolute best today. **** I hope he stays fit.
If not for that shoulder injury a few years back doing a superman save on the boundary he would be probably be a set and forget in the Australian team.
Hopefully he can stay fit and healthy and represent the country again

With Hardie and Whiteman to return, is Bangers a chance of getting dropped?

Belting some runs in grade cricket might be just the thing. poor fella is cooked atm.

Fanning should be filthy. Looked like he could have had a big one today and gloved off to a trash ball. smfh.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was the same shit pitch they used the other day for the 50 over game

Vic were very keen to bowl when they won the toss so speaks volumes as well
