Good on Pakistan. I always support the Aussies and the w***ers who relish when they lose because they perceive them as woke can EABODs . But it is great to see a team like Pakistan who play the game in great spirit and have been through years of very tough times as a nation and a team, come to our shores and play an amazing brand and comprehensively take the win.
Its what makes cricket such a bloody great game.

This whole ODI series is oddly placed and oddly timed. Was there some sort of contractual obligation to hold it now, while we're a week or so away from a consequential Test series?
I'd assume so, plus I think ODIs are still more of a money maker than people expect

India are technically in the middle of a T20 series in South Africa atm too, although there's no one in the test squad involved.

Think he's was coming off a slight injury and played grade cricket.

Waiting until the 15th over to bowl him with a small target on the board was mind boggling.
Personally I don't think he should be anywhere near the Aussie set-up just yet. He needs to get some fitness up at grade level, then state level, and so on.

Super sucky for Cooper to cop a broken flipper.

I was happy for the Pakistani fans who turned out in force today at Optus. They looked like they had a blast and added some excitement to the atmosphere that otherwise would have been dire.

Morris showing he has something to offer if his body behaves was good. Johnson was super unlucky, bowled well for no result imo.

The rest of them can climb in the bin. Inglis a bit of a 'mare with his bowling rotations. Serious head scratching going on.

Hopefully Australia turns up to Optus in a fortnight vs India!

Not confident at all ahead of the Indian series

Our batting lineup looks shaky and I’m concerned about the durability of our bowling attack over the course of a 5 test series, particularly given our penchant for providing batter friendly pitches when the Indians visit

If that's the best Ingo can do as a captain, I'm worried.

Even a grade captain would've bowled Morris before Stoinis and Abbott.
Unforgivable.

Has Inglis got much captaincy experience before? Even at WA he has had Marsh, Whiteman and Turner etc ahead of him

Just seems like a bizarre choice from CA

The only other real options they had were Maxwell, Stoinis or maybe Abbott. So slim pickings really. For a meaningless series I don't think too much thought would've gone into it.

Just like our approach to batting

I think that highlights a huge issue for cricket at the moment. Why is your national side playing meaningless games? The result of trying to shoehorn too much cricket into a congested calendar.

I'll tell you who the series wasn't meaningless for though. Pakistan. 2 decades plus without knocking Australia off at home and it meant a lot to their players and fans. it's not their fault Australia didn't bother to show up.

Maxxy served up a golden duck and a second baller in a 3 game series. When we were under the pump in both games. He can't be captain. Impossible.

Was reading this a few days ago, apparently he was captain in the IPL for a bit (and clashed big time with Sehwag)
