Freo v Carlton. This game is F...d. dissension with an umpire should be a fine not an on field free kick in front of goal. However, Nothing is going to change or address the obvious umpiring problem. The hierarchy of AFL management wont address it. The AFL Board needs to recognise how the pathetic tampering of rules have made interpretation a lottery among 4 central umpires.
Nothing will change while you have a Board that is based on diversity etc bullshit. You need a Board made up of 300 plus game ex players and successful Club administrators running the League.

If it's actual dissent then it should be a free kick. A fine after the game isn't going to be effective. The real threat of dissent is your teammates being pissed at you and that works.

Can't have ump calls impacted by players intimating them.

True, but that sort of umpires call might cost you a premiership. In my view, the umpire should book the player and ball it up. We agree to disagree though.
