Anyone else struggling to get into neutral games this season?

There has been some good ones this season but I look at the schedule of games today and I just don't care about these teams or the results at all.

I think North being so s**t makes it hard to watch the sport in general.
If North was no longer in the league, my interest would be zero.

It’s barely above that as it is.

Same here. If we disappear, I'll just go to other sports. I hate the way the AFL is officiated and run (admin/umpires/MRP etc) It's more about being a mouthpiece for social issues and worrying about public perception.

its because i dont care about the teams that i can watch the neutral games, no skin in it. if its a close one, great, if its not, watch some great individually performances. then there's teams i just like watch losing, that's always a nice vindictive bonus. all in all ijust want to watch some footy. thats not to say that the game itself is perfect or anything, its not, but i wanna watch.

C'mon people enough of this, I know its looking a little baron at the moment but we're not going anywhere, we're not going to disappear and we're sure as hell not going to be down here forever, heads up and while at times hope looks impossible sometimes its better to take it "one game at a time", okay so we play the Cats at good old Kardinia Park, we're back in Melbourne and have a feeling that while Geelong will be long odds on favourites to win I think we can play a lot better than what people expect.

As long as we don't kick it up in the air for Tom Stewart to break the record for most intercept marks in a game I believe like the Fremantle game if we can stun them early anything is possible. We must get of to a quick start and take our chances and then confidence and adrenaline will take over otherwise another loss is on the cards. On the thing that they will beat us by triple figures, I don't think so, while they are still potent, but they are not that good as will be proven as the year goes on, changes, this is the game to do it even if the reserves aren't playing, so what, if they train well , bring them in!

Haven't been watching, how has Mac Andrew played? 23 disposals and 10 marks is very impressive at 3QT, we should chase him when his contract expires next year

GWS' easy run against a hungover Collingwood and two cellar-dwellers is being exposed a bit right now. Great team but not at all invincible.

Callum Brown GWS;
. English mum, Jamaican father
. Grew up playing soccer in England
. Age 5 moves to Ireland plays soccer and union
. Starts playing Gaelic age 14 makes rep.sides
. Moves to Aus.age 18 begins learning aussie rules
. Debuts 2021

Moral of the story ? Better forward and footballer than 50% of our side.
50 is very generous

Massive yes.

Not sure he'd want to leave a team on the way up though.

Been brilliant, very skilled. I mean we opened the door with Majak, but are there alot of Sudenese boys playing locally to draft / rookie ?
Saw a bit of Buku Kamis after getting home last night. He was good too.
Gotta hope Biggy gains these heights 😲

Khamis was great, good decision to switch him down back

Gerard Healy is such an annoying commentator. Picks a side he wants to win and just constantly talks about them, and if he mentions the other team it's about how ordinary they are - regardless of the score.. Usually it's a WA team, but for whatever reason today he has a massive hard on for the Suns. GWS get a goal - gee they needed that, they're battling. Suns get a goal and he nearly jumps out of his chair.

Always wondered with the huge Vietnamese diaspora coming into this country since 1975 we've never seen a Tien Nguyen tearing up the MCG. Might get the lndian kids in the future l suppose.
I worked with Tien. Great bloke but not cut out for footy. Carries a little bit of weight and a bit slow moving ;)

The Indian kids are aspiring to play cricket. I worked with an Indian lady who had a set of nets built in their backyard for her son who was eight years old. I visited and it wasn't just something slung up - it was properly constructed with a concrete / carpet pitch, proper frame and mesh, with an automatic bowling machine.

I work in a school with a high Indian community. Only a small sample size, but there is next to zero interest in Aussie Rules. One day in around 30 years time the Australian cricket team will have half of the squad from Indian heritage.

I think North being so s**t makes it hard to watch the sport in general.
I’m a bit the same. I’ll watch most games but they all piss me off, purely because I look at how bad our development has been for years and how normal everyone else’s appears to have been.

Yes that's part of it
Makes me realise exactly how inept our list management has been.
