The feeling I got is we dont want to de-list anyone just to fulfill AFL requirements of 3 pics in the National Draft. I think Eade sees improvement in players such as Iszac Thompson, K-Mac, Walsh etc. Eade knows which guys are not in his plans and as it happens these players are contracted so he wants to n=move them for pics rather than players.
Definitely rather him trading for picks, even if it’s just improving picks in the same round, than trading for fringe guys that aren’t going to make an impact in our team and will end up costing us extra $. Good work I think.

Saddington has gone to Carlton for pick 52.

Looks like we'll get Bolton now.

Well that's just #$@^^&!@#ing wonderful. We just offloaded a hack and I'll be bitterly disappointed to pick up a worse one. Surely we could have outbidded pick 52?

Not getting Saddington means we're in line to pick up an even greater dud than Bowden.

Lets just try and get some draft picks out of Bandy, Murphy, Kmac and maybe Birss.

No sorry it's not that bad , the sad man left out of a premiership side Saddington would have been.

I can't beleive Saddington has gone to Carlton for a fourt round draft pick (52).
I would have thought he would have been a good fit - actually - it's the money, he wants 220, apparently we don't have room to move under the cap.

It IS bad if we pursue another trade - Bolton would instantly become a new whipping boy.

Damn West Coast, they'd better not trade Gaspar. Remember people, we're al barracking against the Roos doing any Hay/Gaspar trades, so they'll trade for Rawlings.

Well we need someone to replace Patty in that role ;) But PLEASE not Bolton.

Jim Main rates Bolton at the same level as Saddington except Bolton hasn't had a major injury.

We need to get someone or we won't take the next step - we play the sort of game where teams will just shut us down - I think we got under a lot of teams guard in the last couple of games this year.
We need someone to kick to - someone who will win 8 out of 10 one on one contests.
Is Walsh, Skipper going to step up??
C'mon Tom Williams become our next 'Chris Grant'

AAAAAArrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhh.......

Go Dogs!

Sydney - Apparently the only other club interested in Pods have 52 & 55.

Essendon have pick 51.

Perhaps a Bandy or Brad Murphy for pick 51.

With getting no tall mature blokes, I've come around and think we should be drafting him. We've got 43 but thats a bit too high. Unless Jade goes through for pick 47?

Re: Saddington gone

im a little confused.

i thought saddington was on our list of players to have a look at, and the reason we declined him was because he was asking for too much money.

they we get rid of rawlings and bowden which would of freed up a bit, then never got him?

woulda thought with these two gone, even iof we paid half their salary each, this would pay for saddingtons wage.

dissapointed by our trading this year.

Re: Saddington gone

might have been the order in which things occured.

saddington was gone before we got rid of bowdo and rawligns was the last trade of the week, just before the deadline

I think put some kind of worst case $$ scenario on the table for sydney where we offered our 3rd round pick, as long as Sydney paid a portion of saddingtons wage in 06, but then carlton cae along and said for a 4th round pick they sydney wouldnt have to pay anything.
