Wow.
That main board thread is abhorrent. To be blunt, the 2 GWS supporters are flogs of the highest order. Very little they say has any substance or truth and they are so fixated in their views I am concerned that they may have a delusional disorder.
Here is my take on the situation for anyone who cares, the thread has degenerated into mud slinging with a heavy reliance on unsubstantiated rumors.

Not sure how this is GWS or Fremantles fault. seems like GWS didn't want to trade him and the Fremantle would only trade for him on their terms.
GWS appear to not want to trade him as he is a required player (best 22 or close to) and backed their culture in to change his mind.
Fremantle clearly wanted him but not at the expense of their current list management strategy so we're only interested in using draft picks to secure him. Bennell was the clear priority.
I am probably a little different than most because I believe Fremantle have already drafted their Pav replacement (Apeness), he has just been hit by injuries. Maybe that was Fremantles point of view too.
I think that it was McCarthy and his management who approached Fremantle to get a trade done, not Fremantle who approached McCarthy. Of course their response would be something along the lines of "would love to have you..... If we can facilitate a trade. Before we start, we are thinking you are worth around $X. Is that suitable? Ok, we'll contact GWS".
GWS say no, not interested. Fremantle have no where to move due to their lack of trade currency (no top 10 picks, Bennell coming in, no players wanting to leave).
The people that have acted poorly in this are not GWS or Fremantle but Cam McCarthy and Colin Young.
Colin Young seems to have this attitude of "Whatever it takes" for his clients. This may seem like a good idea for them, but he has no problem burning bridges to get them and him his paycheck.
He has made it very difficult for a young guy to return to his workplace where he has a contract. His all or nothing approach has done so much harm I question his ability to actually do right by his young clients.
And Cam should have accepted the GWS decision months ago, apologised, put his head down and torn up the track.
Unfortunately it is now just a mess and Colin Young won't be the knee to suffer but Cam McCarthy and GWS.
