I still have 20 trades. J. Brown would be the obvious choice for me, but don't like the idea of paying a premium price for him. I think he will get average scores eventually.

What about J. Brennan? Listed as forward, but playing midfield and getting a heap of it. His out suspended this week, so his price won't change.

Good point , Brennan is definately on the radar now! At under 500k he could be good value. He's geeting alot of the pill.

See how Buddy and Pav go today but Pav has the Cats and then Saints so it's possible he may fall a little more. Am also considering Brennan as he seems to be playing fulltime in the midfield and not being shuffled all over the place.

Safe bets: ROK, Brown & Chappy (if you're prepared to burn a trade come round 19-20 when the cats rest him and Ablett). My reasoning here is that I think there will only be 4 ultra-premium forwards this year - Roo and the 3 above - who will pump out 100+ scores for 15 rounds min.

Smokies: Brennan, Byrnes, Sylvia.

Going with ROK myself.

theres an article on afl.com.au saying he needs to have surgery, best case scenario would probably be after the midseason break they say but apparently the Saints are just saying late in the season.

Im probably going to go with Rok, spewing i used 2 trades to get Brown from Tippett this week when i could've got Brown from Roo and used a good side trade from Tippett this week.

Another option some might want to look at, with all the preseason hype, Robbie Gray will play this week and could be an option to trade for those looking to make a bit of money.

Already have ROK and Brown
Is it too risky to bring Chapman in, i already have 4 cats?
Or should i go Robbie Gray or Boomer?

I've got all the main top tier forwards so I'm torn between Didak, Goodes and Chappy.

I like Didak because Chappy is a soft tissue injury waiting to happen (and also a big chance of being rested towards the end of the year) and Goodes is still settling into a perminent CHF this season, might pick him up towards midseason when his price is down.

unlucky for those who got rid of tippett for roo, but at the end of the day u had to get rid of tippett anyway wat a spud!

Why are people waiting on tradin out roo? he is out for 8 weeks min so why lose min40pts a week by using a bench player to fill in....no fwd rookie is pulling out good scores atm. i hav seen peopl say brown is gonna go down in price so dont get him....who cares u wanna poll high in the ranking jump on BROWN he was 2nd best fwd now he is 1st! if u have him then u have ROK who is clearly dominating(thats who im jumpin on) and chappy!(but chappy is known for being rested here and there, you wont get 22 games from him!) then goodes/frankilin/boomer/pav, all will finish with similar avg's imo:
Franklin:up and down big highs and low lows
Pav: more consistant then franklin but will get 3-4 big ones like todays and 3-4 low ones in the 40-60s
Goodes: hasnt shown much but we all know he starts the season slow and picks up and can score massive just unsure on where the swans play him he needs more time in the middle!
Boomer: yeh ok his worst game last week but the superstar turned it around with his best game this week, i am positive he can finish up with an avg of 100+ this yr!

How does this sound?

Roo>Rioli
Tippett>Sandilands

Thoughts?

I must admit Junior crossed my mind today after seeing a bit of the game- running freely, tackling like a beast, not to mention snagging a few goals. may not hit 140 every week, but I would be surprised if he doesn't average around 100-105.

I've got all the other Roo- priced forwards already, so spending a little less and using the cash elsewhere is very appealing. Don't think you can lose with this given Tippet's early crowning as King Spudly 2010 either.

Roo>Rioli was just going through my mind when I saw the prices, he should average around 100.

Seems a reasonable trade.

yeah rioli looks like great value. his break even is 30 something points so he is looking good to go up in value. anyone know how he places against collingwood?

out: roo & tippett
in: rioli & pav

pavlich
can anyone shed some light on his game against st kilda in the nab cup ( the one where he got 40 points)? dawson was on him yet i have a feeling he didn't get much game time. anyone confirm?
