Say Brett Deledio and Paul Chapman were both guaranteed 22 games this year. Who would you then take??
Chappy.

Has the potential for MASSIVE scores.

But this is reality and I have Lids. :)

I have lids because we all know chappy will play maybe 3/4 of games max! but yes if they were both to play 22 i still wouldnt count lids out he will have a big 1 this yr.

my dilema,

Bartel(mid) + Skipworth(mid) + BJ(fwd)

or

Cross(mid) + $528,300(mid)* + Skipworth(fwd)

* i will have this to spend on my 4th mid, now i like:
sewell/kornes/dalziell/pburgoyne/mcklean/wells/kerr/foley/vberlo
whichone or is there 1 that i am ignoring that should be considered?

Sorry guys......my one got missed. Would love opinions.

Cheers

It's a killer that one, cos it's mostly dependent on what Dean Laidley's plans are. And I, for one, must admit I don't understand North Melbourne and never do.

I have McIntosh in my squad, because I think he's better than his price. I don't think Petrie is better than his price.... but I do think he's better than McIntosh.

Am I being useful? No. Can you do something with the $ you free up, or not?

It means upgrade a Masten to a Gibbs/Selwood in the mid.

I am not sold on McIntosh. Could get 90s but next week back it up with a 20.

Petrie on the other hand will play CHB from reports. I picture this giant of a man marking anything and everything that's coming into NMs defensive 50.

Petrie has potential to score massive in some games.

I am torn as well.

But that's just it, Razor. Who the hell knows with Laidley?

If McIntosh is first ruck, he'll dominate teams with lousy rucks (about half the league, last time I checked). If he's riding the pine, he's not scoring.

I still don't know who or what Drew Petrie is, only that I never have him in my teams and other people beat me senseless with him. SOB

gilbee over newman personally, apparently gilbee has had a ripper pre-season and he doesnt need much of it to rack up the SC points, and he is cheaper.

hille + chapman
OR
ottens + ROK + 49k

He'd be very tempting if he slipped down though... exquisite user and the way footy's going it could be the tear of the HBFer

Ruck quandry:

Cox + Rookie vs McIntosh & Ottens?

and....

drummond + $60K v s fisher

Cox and Rookie: Cox is the only ruck agile enough to rove and has great kicking efficiency. He is also a great tap ruckmen, he should score well and is probably most people's must have's.

Drummond + $60: Drummond should post some high scores which would allow an upgrade to another premium back or hold him as a keeper and hope he plays most of his matches. Fisher should score well but only when St. Kilda are on top and they will select to through Goddard at every opportunity.

mine: Veszpremi vs. Hentschel

Thanks

wraming to hentschel with every week and there's little if any competition... injury risk obvious, but he certainly seems to be finding a fair bit of it.

Cox and McIntosh. You will need Cox if you want to succeed in this competition. It is a waste of a trade if you get both Hille and Petrie, who are both keepers, and then trade 1 for Cox. McIntosh will also make you some nice cash and you will be able to upgrade him to either Hille or Petrie later in the season without much worry.

Marc Murphy vs Kane Cornes

I think Kane can get back to his 100+ averaging self but at the same time there is Murphy who I think will just keep improving and probably average over 100. What to do, what to do:confused:

Both are at times ordinary users of the ball, hence they seem value. Kane is $30 K less than Murphy, and whilst only averaged about 92 last year, in the two years prior to that he averaged nearly 110. Clearly there is enormous upside to Kane, especially if Port have a better season than last year, which I think is highly likely. Kane for mine, but I am biased. There is another Port player around the same value as Murphy who might be worth a punt too...

Chapman hands down.....but you always take a risk with his hamstrings. Will get more of a midfield role and he loooooooves the hard ball gets.....meaning big points.

Cox + McIntosh OR Hille + Petrie.

I haven't gone cox this year because i think Hille could match whatever score cox bring up. So i'd go with hille/ petrie

I'd go Murphy, With less pressure on him with judd in the midfield an opposition being wary of gibbs i think he might avg 100+ this year.

My question is

Drummond/ Giansaricusia (sp??)

vs

Cornes/ Brennan or any fwd under 500k
