I will have t walker on me reserves anyway... this will jsut meen i bring in mith brown to my reserves as well with ziebel... i am alittle worried with have walker and tuck because i have ottens rich starting in my widfield and hill in my backline who would use guys go?

Ballantyne is at least 6 weeks away due to his broken hand. Will be a good downgrade option though after he has played two games.

Don't think that Ballantyne is 6 away. Ive read in places 1-2 weeks, 2 weeks, and even today he is marked as "test" here:

At this stage I am expecting him to be fit by round 2-3 and to play come round 4 from everything that I have been hearing.

You left out Anthony. Most likely to play the most games out of these players.

Same price.

Goodwin looks like playing Hodge's role in 09. With rolling zones and all that bullshit should score well.

Delidio looks like he has remained constant between 08 and 09. Scores are meh by super elite standard and he has had decent TOG.

Yes i do realise its pre-season but pre-season form and scores cannot be dismissed altogether.

Deledio looks sharp and has 10 years on Goodwin, and I can see more potential score growth (and a higher overall ave) from Lids. Cooney was the #1 draft pick the year before, and look at where he's at now. I don't think Lids will get the #1 tagger either with Cousins, Tuck and Foley back in form.

What are you thoughts on a $580,300 midfielder (i already have Judd, Cross and J.Selwood) out of this lot:

Cooney (bit wary of having two doggies in the same team)
Black (arm injury still a concern for first couple of rounds)
Goodes (sydney's style of play deters me, even though he ave'd 100 last year)
Kirk (see Goodes comment)
Power (with SBlack possibly not starting rnd 1, might be a good move)
Pendles (will probably get the #1 tag now)
Kornes (question marks over disposal effectiveness)
NDS (just question marks)
Swan (may be freed up of the #1 tag, given Pendles' rise)
Richo (I'm a richmond fan, but the man's 33)

If that were me, I'd go with K. Cornes as I think he presents the best value at 505,100. I think Port had an off year last year, and will be a big improver and therefore boost Cornes scores. In 2007 when Port finished second he averaged 112.3.

Rodney - Funny... I've had each of those forwards in my team at some point. At the moment i'm leaning towards Chapman or Fev. Chappers cause I think he'll score relatively well with time on the ball... Fev cause I think he's a bit underpriced this year

I'm slowing warming towards Goodwin although if i had to pick in your situation then it'd be the potential upside of a young Deledio winning out for sure. Having both would be a nice little 1-2 forward option though.

Just when i thought i was done...

Had 100k in the bank and thought of a little move that (might) have more upside but with that comes what is expected to be more of an injury risk.

Had Malceski and Otten but with the cash could turn into Drummond and Robinson leaving me with no cash.

Goodes. Played 22 games for 7 consecutive seasons, there's less competition for the ball, and he scored 90+ in 12 of his first 13 games last season before he started having injury and suspension problems. For the first time this decade.
