He knows the best words...then he speaks.

The election is rigged... unless he wins.

The news is fake... unless it's flattering to him.

Everything is a hoax... unless he tweets it.

Nepotism is bad... unless it's his family.

He's rich... but you can't see his taxes.

He's smart... but you can't see any of his school records or his SATs which he had somebody else sit for him.

He's successful... but he's bankrupted 6 business'.

He hires the best people... until they are indicted and then he's never met them.

He's innocent... but makes everybody sign NDAs.

We live in the upside down.

All so true, sadly. And leaving aside Washington-based Republicans who know most/all of this, and still support/vote for him for their own self-interest and self-preservation, you could tattoo this onto the foreheads of his his rusted-on fanatics in the hinterlands, or paint it on their crumbling/abandoned housing and infrastructure in large letters, and it still wouldn't register. Biden is far from an ideal alternative, but at this stage, that's all he needs to be - a less-destructive and less-divisive alternative.

I hate putting people down for their lack of intelligence or logic, but in the case of the loonies who blindly believe anything he says while their own lives are crumbling around them, I'm happy to make an exception.

These people may not be stupid, but their blind, fanatical faith means they actually have NFI. And that is dangerous for all of us.

I go further than that , they are DEPLORABLE.
One thing Clinton got 100% spot on !

For anyone following the election, this is a decent and generally well regarded website about the state of play.

I expect Trump to win the election but lose the popular vote by about 8 million.

Some of you know how much I detest Trump but he does know how to get the numpties onboard.

The big gerrymandered system they have is the only thing that can get him over the line.
( or maybe cheating )

Still don’t think he can win. The US public have had a good look at a incompetent mob boss close up for 4 years.

The big concern is the unpredictability of the orange and his fanatics, and the fact that so many of the population (on both sides) have access to firearms. I think back to the plot in the dystopian "V for Vendetta" where the US was portrayed as being in the grips of a second civil war. Unlikely to happen, but sometimes small events can trigger large re-actions, e.g. George Floyd's death, while a single event, as a "straw that broke the camel's back" scenario, unleashed country-wide protests, violent confrontations, and reverberated to a degree to many other countries.

(V for Vendetta is set in the late 2020s btw.)

Which friend of Trump's was Biden calling a thug?

The ABC crowd called it as Biden calling both Kim and Xi thugs, that's not as I recall . It was heartening to see the hard line against China that Biden expressed. My concern is that he is more likely to do an Obama, good on rhetoric but does nothing. US foreign policy in our region matters. The ABC called it a Biden victory, Murray (Fox) thought that Trump did more damage with Biden's statement that he will close down the Oil industry. Funny, that.

Looking forward to the full clip coming out this week, watching ’America’s Mayor’ living up to the family values of the GOP:

This is a clip from a soon to be released comedy movie borat 2, ridiculous that news stations even ran with this, the epitome of piss poor journalism

The point is it’s a “mockumentary” where Cohen sets up real people. You’d think those clowns would learn after the first Borat and then the Bruno movie, and his Mossad impersonation. Giuliani “claims” he was lying down on the bed tucking his shirt in after removing the microphone. Sure Rudy, that’s how everyone tucks their shirt in!

Even if it was a shirt tuck, he accepted the offer of a drink in her bedroom.... Not sure how his partner would have felt watching it.

I tried it , definitely easier laying on your back if you “ are flying the flag “

US Election 2020: Inside the Pennsylvania church where they pray next to their AR-15 rifles

At the World Peace and Unification Sanctuary Church, those in attendance call their guns "religious accoutrements".

A church service with AR-15 rifles

At this church service in Pennsylvania, members are encouraged to carry rifles and crowns. Many say they backing Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

This is an anxious moment in America, in a year dominated by division. There are deep concerns there could be an outbreak of violence after the election amidst an electorate unlikely to be satisfied by either result.

We've seen militia groups on the rise, a near constant presence at moments of tension.

The World Peace and Unification Sanctuary Church is based in Pennsylvania

In Pennsylvania, you can see the national fault lines laid bare, in a congregation that looks somewhat incongruous nestled in the rural landscape of New Foundland.

Inside The World Peace and Unification Sanctuary Church people are dressed in white wearing crowns.

They're also carrying unloaded AR-15 rifles - a popular but highly controversial weapon in America.

The man overseeing the day announces on the loud speaker that they are "religious accoutrements". They believe the rifles represent the biblical "rod of iron" referenced in the Book of Revelation - needed, they say, to protect God's children.

This is a church that's pro-gun, pro-life and pro-Trump.

Some here say they are reluctantly ready to take up arms in defence if needed.

Pastor Sean Moon, a softly spoken Harvard-educated man in his forties, is head of the church.

His father, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, was a self-proclaimed messiah, his followers pejoratively referred to as Moonies and called a cult by critics.

The church became known for its mass weddings, often between strangers. But after his death, the church split - his son forming a new one attracting Americans who embrace Christian nationalism and second amendment rights.

He tells me the AR-15, connected with mass shootings in the US, is misunderstood.

"I think there's a lot of skewing in the media... there are more stabbings, for example, then deaths by the AR-15... it's a sporting rifle, it's the most popular rifle in all of America."

President Trump, he concedes, is not a perfect man but represents his Christian values because he "stands against murder and the genocide of 70 million children... and very radical left-wing ideologies".

That embrace of Mr Trump has seen him attract hundreds every year to his "rod of iron" festival, a celebration of guns.

He's even met the president's son Eric Trump, an indication of the church's political reach.

When we arrive, they are holding a commitment ceremony; hundreds of couples from across the world, getting married, some remotely.

Ted O'Grady is one of them. He said he's marrying Tanya from Russia and that they "spent the last nine months communicating on Skype and through Google Translate".

Among those watching on is Hope Igarashi.

She, like Mr Trump and many in the church, believe that if Joe Biden becomes president he'd try to disarm people and the country would descent into socialism - something Mr Biden rejects.

She believes there are left-wing groups plotting trouble.

"There's many cells, hidden cells all over the country," Hope says.

"They're ready. They're preparing for some kind of war to take over our nation. We don't want to become like Venezuela.

"Already. Right now. We have people in food lines trying to get food. And I believe that we need President Trump to protect us from many terrible things that might come about."

We know from evidence, violent right-wing groups are also active in America right now too.

Couples renew vows carrying AR-15 rifles

But like Hope, Annette Yamakawa is concerned about the other side who don't share her political outlook.

She tells me she's taken classes and practiced on a range in case there is conflict after the election and claims Democrats are doing the same.

She fears organisations like Antifa are threatening public safety.

Everyone we speak to is at pains to tell us the church promotes peace and that they only carry guns for self-defence.

They fear a moment when a government overreaches itself.

Mira Williams explains to me "only an armed militia can really resist a government".

It is an extraordinary glimpse at life inside a church that many will look at and perceive as extreme.

But their fears also speak to a broader conversation in America about God and guns.

They capture the anxiety about protecting faith and the right to bear arms that people still feel so feel in this country. It's a conversation and a conflict that's far from resolved.

Where's Hunter? Why is the MSM & big tech trying to censor info about the laptop? Look at Biden, it's all coming out now. Nothing can stop what is coming. Trump will win in a landslide. Wish Australia had someone like him, maybe Riccardo Bosi is the man?

Is that you Q?

Judith died last year. He's one of America's eligible bachelors. Give him a fair go.
