I don't wish ill on the man, though I find it mildly amusing that someone who proclaimed all sorts of rubbish on the virus (it's just a little flu, will go away like miracle, no need for masks, etc) ends up being diagnosed with it. I'm sure he'll recover just like a few other world leaders, which is good - any incapacitation will just put an asterisks over the coming election spurring rallies that will make the Belarus protests look small.
I think what's of more concern though is how he could potentially manipulate this situation - delay the election, use it to escape the next debate (might be a good thing for us all...), come out the other side further downplaying the seriousness of the virus (which would be dismissive of the 205,000+ American lives lost to date)...the man is unpredictable. It may even further embolden his supporters or fuel the conspiracy theorists that this was somehow "the left's" fault. I don't see the US all of a sudden coming together in support of their President's speedy recovery...

Fox is News Ltd on steroids. Tbh I think News Ltd would be a lot more like Fox if it could, but I think as a country our bullshit detectors are a bit more in tune than our friends over in the US of A. Or maybe it's just a question of numbers... enough people buy into that rubbish over there, then it expands and takes hold from there.
Trump just parroting their headlines 600+ times was pretty funny. Make sense as I think we've all deduced by now he doesn't have the faculty or intelligence for independent ideas.

Fox is first and foremost all about the money. Its an organisation that not surprisingly given Murdochs newspaper history clearly follows the "if it bleeds it leads" philosophy. They understood very early in their existence that if you agitate their target audience enough that they were unlikely to look away or switch channels, thus more ad revenue gets generated by delivering said large audience. If further proof is required that its really just a question of money, its instructive that The Lincoln Project run by high ranking ex-Republican campaign staff has a standing media buy on the network that runs right across Trumps favourite programs, just so they can troll him on a daily basis knowing that he will see the ads and be triggered by it. Thus generating more revenue for them to do more of the same as they strive to unseat Trump and more revenue for Fox as they strive to keep him in power. Everybody wins.

This is the true symbiosis of it all.
