Jesus Harold!
Have you ever actually read any of my posts?
I'm not for Trump. I'm just trying to highlight how broken the system is. Nothing more, nothing less.
I agree with you here. It is a shit system.

Clinton was an arse of an individual. A calculatedly manufactured personality and image that appealed to the Yanks willingness to suspend judgement and lap up the bs.

Trump is worse.

Ultimately the wealth based system that promotes their candidcay and then finally the electorate are at fault for enabling and then electing these pricks....regardless of hue.

A meritocracy it is not.

Clinton Whataboutism 😂

This is f***ing hilarious 😂
Yeah, Clinton grabbed p**sies too in the late 80’s and 90’s. Shame on him. What a campaigner.

He has not paid off 28 women though. About half as many.

Clinton was/is a campaigner - a brilliant one. He was a great speaker and leader - from the south.

Trump is just a fat campaigner with a psychological disorder.

Given he was president nearly a qtr of a century ago. Bill Clintons inability to keep his penis in his pants is about as relevant as Thomas Jefferson having multiple children with Sally Hemmings who he owned last the time to this thread. If either of these guys were President or in the running to become one then I'd understand the weird tangent that that a discussion that is supposed to be based around current events and political personalities has taken.

With the probable exception of Washington and Lincoln, historically I doubt that you'd find many senior US presidents that didn't have a mistress or engage in various affairs. They're positively French in that regard.

Like rank hypocrisy. Its the privilege of men in power.

None of which absolves Donald Trump from the fact that he is an adjudged rapist. One who is about to begin his second term is office.

We live in the dumbest timeline imaginable.

Hi Norm,

The original post wasn't meant to compare apples with apples. Lets keep Trump out of this completely.

My question was why nobody then wasn't outraged with Bill's behaviour?

Another thing I don't get. (There a a few, I know)
Lots of people seem to be outraged with what's happening in Israel/Palestine right now. Again, I'm confused as to why it's an issue for them now, as it's been going on for the better part of 70 years and nobody seemed to care too much.

But there were. Especially on the right.

He was impeached over his behaviour. Once that proceeding failed people shrugged and got on with their lives.

History may not repeat but it often rhymes.

Because although Isreal's treatment of Palestine has historically been oppressively abhorrent. Isreal has traditionally been cast as a friend of the west and a bulwark of stability in a sea of people with diametrically opposing views in an area of vital strategic and economic importance to the west. So western governments and corporations have and continue to look the other way. Lest the Isreal lobby paint them anti-semitic.

However, what we're seeing had never quite reached the levels of expansionist mask off genocide that we see today.

Even though peoples attention spans are now shorter than an Essendon fans finals hopes. Like happenings in Ukraine, we are no longer lead by the nose to the story by news outlets with their curated agendas and get to see events unfold in real time by people on the ground who bare the brunt of these atrocities. People can choose to continue to look the other way, but its increasingly hard to do so in todays social media environment.

Social media is a pox on society, but sometimes it can be a useful tool at exposing how the machine works.

Let’s forget about sexual assaults and rape for a moment.
Can anyone think of a previous President that has run fake charities or ripped of students with fake universities ?

Excellent answer and explanation.

Anyone find it convenient trump and musk were having a bit of difficulty over their flip flopping on h1b visas, then one of musk’s trucks blows up in front of trump’s hotel?

“Quick, we need people to feel sorry for us again and we’ve already played the assassination card”

Other than Trumps usual fish like flip floppery on the likes of H1B visits, TikTok and countless other examples, not really.

Beyond the deliberate attention grabbing symbolism attached to the cyber truck fireworks show in front of a Trump hotel. At this point in time, this and the Bourbon st. massacre seem to have been perpetrated by two native born American veterans who served in Afghanistan who were radicalised within their respective information silos. One by the radical right and one with radical Islam.

Not as the right so readily jumped to when they (of course) immediately came to the conclusion that the Bourbon St. massacre was carried out by an illegal immigrant. And that it was all because of Joe Bidens open border policies.

Anybody interested in seeing where the United States is headed really should read Matthew Livelsberger's short manifesto. Which as far as Im aware is still being treated as credible and genuine.

It's a fascinating mix of the probable, like US war crimes in Afghanistan (well...duh!) and what is clearly coming from the whackadoodle mind of somebody who has been mainlining the alt right conspiracy theories like a Tranq user on Kensington Avenue in Philly. Chinese submarines flying anti-gravity drones off the East Coast. Which dovetails neatly into the ridiculous drone hysteria of last week.

2025 and beyond will likely see a steep rise in acts of domestic terrorism as the PTSD chickens of 35 years of horrendous foreign policy and a constant stream of anti-government political rhetoric continue to come home to roost. One only needs to go to any US focused reddit, YouTube or similar veterans pages to see the level of seething resentment that has been built up in communities radicalised by the likes of Trump railing against the very systems they swore an oath to uphold, to understand what is likely to come. In case anybody needed reminding the largest act of domestic terrorism on US soil was carried out by two white, native born, Gulf War veterans against a government building in Oklahoma City by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.

But sure, the real problem is Chinese sleeper cells slipping over the border, Guatemalan gangs or Haitians eating the Cats and Doges, buying Greenland, annexing Canada whatever look over there nonsense Trump dangles out to a media ecosystem that falls for like the compliant suckers they are as a distraction from his actual agenda. The revisionist, radical reshaping of their society and institutions that has been the wet dream that the American Right has been working towards for decades.

The place is beyond ****ing cooked.

Anyways...It's only 15 days until the end of the war in Ukraine. So there's that.

Trump threatening to take over neighbouring countries and some of their infrastructure, whilst his petulant billionaire side kick pushing for right wing oligarchy across Europe.

Most sane people living in reality knew it was going to be a bigger cluster f**k than last time, but this is really something.

What a f***in shitshow 😂😂😂

Steve Bannon “The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.”

What we're witnessing is Bannon's theory writ large and the bait and switch tactic that Trump has always used as a way of distracting from having to pay the price of his election promises. He does this so that nobody talks about how he will be impotent to do much of anything about Ukraine or lowering inflation, the housing crisis and the cost of living pressures bought about by the oligarchical corporations that support him. If anybody needs further proof of his actual impotency in the face of even the mildest pushback, one only needs to look at how quickly he folded and fell in line with the H1B visa program. The likelihood of the US annexing Canada, buying Greenland or taking over the Panama cannel is all but zero. But it Keeps the medias focus on these bogus issues and away from his promises to MAGA on day 1. An impossible task.

But his threats do make a mockery of his supporters in here constantly telling us that Trump was some kind of demented dove of peace. Those guys are funny campaigners. Thanks for the laughs you stooges. When in reality he is what he has always been. A dumb, petulant man child and bully without an ounce of self control.

It's all about distraction whist he and his backers perpetrate the greatest shift in wealth into the hands of the ruling class that the world has ever seen. Sure he'll throw some read meat out to the MAGA morons by deporting millions of brown people. Unless of course they are the indentured servants of the tech Industry, but who cares...All of the shitty jobs that they currently do that circulate $billions back into the economy will be done by somebody else... right?

But thats all a mere sideshow to the real agenda and what is about to happen as they shift the tax burden entirely onto the shoulders of the working poor and middle classes and away from centi-millionaire and billionaires who actually run the show.

They're about to enter the FAFO stage of the consequences of handing government over to an oligarchy of corruption.

Interestingly enough. I recommend perusing the actions and commentary from both the outgoing and incoming president regarding the LA fires.
Quite telling.
One is on scene with the fire department outlining actual real support to residents and first responders. The other ?? Nothing but baseless unverified attacks.
Interestingly, the water shortages in addition to the unprecedented drought are in part attributed to the Trump administration amendments to water distribution throughout the california regions in 2019.

Those baseless and unverified attacks work though. As Trumps supporters are flooding social media making the same claims. It's messed up, and 1930's like how people will accept anything as fact, as long as it comes from someone they like and shares their world view.

In fact, most of those mocking California and Newsom don't even live there. It's weird how many people who have not lived there or been there, how much California is a hole to them. Even though their own states rank poor in health, education, income and crime.

Trump has a career long hatred of California and Newsom. He took a pathetic chance to use the fires to create further division and political point scoring. Can't avoid a free shot at Newson could he? Not exactly leadership material there. Disasters are not the time to play politics when the incident is still ongoing.

The age of misinformation and indecency. Being led and fueled by the leader of the biggest western country and the richest man in the world. Taking all the dumbest people along for the ride.

If this isn’t concerning for you, you are seriously shit for brains stupid.

Will be interesting to see who out of the Aussie MAGA in here will show their face to defend or worse, cheer it on.

Elon doing the same in the UK with recent tweets. And of course the right wing population froth at the mouth over it and the Torie politicians weaponise it for political gain.

Elon and Trump are head and shoulders the most dangerous people on this planet at the moment. I knew it was going to be bad, but this is next level. And they haven’t even started in office.

Nigel Farage was too left-wing for Elon:
