Should we wear the Bars this year or wait until we play in front of a home crowd?

Oh boy Eddie going nuts on the issue again
Excellent, every time he does strengthens our argument.
Trying to muddy the waiters by arguing about the Magpie is classic diversion.

Maybe it’s his way of getting a win from it.

The fact he keeps talking about handshake deals means water tight contracts are bullshit.
If there was a watertight agreement he’d have flopped it out onto the table years ago!

I'm going to be controversial. I don't give a fu** really about what fckg Guernsey we have. Really?? How about win some games under the Port Adelaide name. We have several jumpers. Jenny Williams has said she has no idea where the prison bar name came from. Fos looked after everybody and the thought we are prisoners?????? WTF.

Port Adelaide........ that's who we are. Guernsey is secondary to who we are. It represents a team. We were pink at one stage. But were still Port Adelaide.

You can want two things.

also bending over and getting shafted in one area, usually leads to the softness permeating other areas.

I've simmered down a little but Koch needs to play down the special occasion angle it's a club guernsey full stop he needs to alter his take for more traction.
Take it to court and win. In an era where the admin have had several misses, this is their chance of a big hit.

He’s taking this line because of the agreement that we could wear it in the annual heritage round fixture that was torpedoed as soon as that agreement was reached.

We don't have any money and the AFL won't fund a legal challenge to itself.

This will be won and lost in the court of public opinion.

If that's the case the same would go for Collingwood wanting to sue. So really the final call is with the AFL.

I can't stress enough that the club distance themselves from the "once only/special occassion" angle.

We look petty when this comes up all the time. It is far more powerful if we declare our hand and say "We want to wear it at our own discretion".

That was glorious.

The issue being brought up on national television.

Eddie looking like a deadset flog making a bunch of ridiculous arguments.

Caro calling out Cos Cardone's conflict of interest.

As a club, we need to find ways to keep pushing the issue, making public displays and statements that annoy the shit out of him, etc. If this debate becomes well known, there's only one way public opinion is going.

If the agreement was home heritage rounds only and no commercial manufacture, we've breached this agreement several times over.

I do wonder what exactly Collingwood are considered to be offering up on their side of the bargain in the "contract". The AFL has total control over uniforms. Collingwood aren't losing anything or giving anything up. How could a contract with them even legally exist?

We're going to win this war, it's just a matter of time and effort. What I want from Koch before he goes is for a more public face on the negotiation, and an agreement to wear the bars regularly without signing any other rights away.
