I think we'll avoid a lockdown. Appears he's had some immunity and hasn't really been contagious. They didnt seem too concerned in the presser.

How the **** do we keep getting so lucky in Perth with our positive cases.

our luck up here finally ran out :-(
its only a matter of time

we were just saying that in the office
Everyone becomes quite complacent or though it does seem we have become experts at checking in (not speaking for everyone)

I was surprised he didn’t introduce masks for a few days

once close contacts have been spoken to they will see what to do i guess. good luck over there.
meanwhile up here i think we will have another week of lockdown, so 3 days became 8 and will become 15 no doubt about it.
I am lucky in that it doesnt really affect me - other than there are more people at home!!!

Our hospitals have been neglected by state premiers for years, Mark McGowan is shitting himself because he has cut funding to health and by pure luck WA has avoided a big out break of rona. If we had an out break like Sydney is at the moment 2 things will happen. Firstly the hospital system will collapse and secondly he will be exposed as the emperor with no clothes.

Sounds like he caught it again but the immunity gained from his first time meant he only had minor symptoms and was probably only contagious for a very small amount of time with little to no viral load.
Herd immunity?

No lockdown, just get tested if you've been at any of these potential exposure sites

Get tested immediately, quarantine until a negative result is returned and monitor for symptoms unless contacted individually by WA Health Department

If you have or develop symptoms, please isolate and phone 13 COVID (13 26843).

Probably about as FIFO as you can get with these locations.

Close miss. I was at Lewis Meats and Coles in Greenwood 2 weeks before. Should I get tested?

I have worked the 13-COVID hotline and I $h!t you not, ppl do actually ring up to ask this. "I was there X minutes/hours/days before/after, should I get tested?" would be one of the most common questions whenever new exposure locations are published. People, the exposure times that require testing are ACTUALLY listed with the exposure locations.

While I disagree with Spitty's take on the intelligence of the WA populace, there are some people that really truly are incapable of rational thought.

I don't think that'll work anyway with Australia's zero covid goal. Vaccinated still test positive.

That’s not Australia’s policy and vaccination does reduce the severity of the symptoms so it does resemble a serious flu which means no lockdowns

at the moment NSW and Vic are scrambling in the midst of an outbreak to get people vaccinated. It makes sense we do it BEFORE we are in the middle of an outbreak
