I think given the announcement by both clubs that the Hanley brothers are heading back to Ireland to deal with a significant family problem, losing a game of footy is the least of his problems.
If I could retract my comment from earlier I would. Definitely puts losing a game of football in to perspective. Also makes sense of the look on his face at the end of the game now. My thoughts are with the Hanley family

yep, i noticed Pearce on the ground head in his hands after the game and thought gee he's taking the loss hard. Rocky came over and gave him an extended hug (a few of the boys made a bee line for him) and i thought that was great at the time, but with the news of today we all understand the emotion now in hindsight.

Positive has been some really good media exposure. Normally on AFL 360 when we whin its all about the other team losing. But they where pritty pumped for us.

On the afl website team of the week 3 lions players made that team. Stef martin dayne beams and harris andrews.

Lots of pro-Brisbane comments popping up around Big Footy. Slowly earning respect as a club. Keep it up boys!

Yeah, I've noticed this. A lot of 'not easy beats' sort of comments popping up. Dunno if it's the Hawthorn factor or people having genuinely listened to his comments but Fagan getting a lot of respect and votes of confidence.

This week on Fox it's all been Freo, Gold Coast and Collingwood in crisis. Such a nice change for it not to be us they are talking about.

Freo and Gold Coast I can understand; they looked appalling on the weekend in their effort. But of the other 6 winless sides, I wouldn't have picked Collingwood as being the ones in crisis - they've lost their 2 games by a combined 33 points, and one of those was to the reigning premiers. Hardly panic stations at this point.

That's true, but Collingwood's situation has a wider context. To my eye, they've done nothing so far to suggest that they'll be better than last year (or the three prior).

With Collingwood much of the talk has been around Bucks and his future rather than the team. Frankly I think Collingwood have played OK. The concern seems to be whether Bucks will take them to their next finals campaign.
