One thing that occurred under both Voss and Leppa that was a big issue for us was the fact that 3rd/4th/5th year players would stagnate after a promising 1st/2nd year. Very early days and we can't really judge this properly until the conclusion of this season and beyond, however, I think it is exciting that Mayes, Andrews, Gardiner and Robertson all had arguably career best games last night and McStay and Cutler played well as well. I was really hopeful when Fagan came on board that he'd implement a big focus on development considering that is one of the things he is known for and we have such a young list that needs development to be a primary consideration. Early signs are promising!

the great standard of the umpiring.

while you are never going to get a perfectly umpired game of footy, IMO the umpiring through this round has been of a high level, particularly the crackdown on incorrect disposal, they have cracked down on it very well, hopefully it is a rule of the year and not the week. also not awarding a free for every feather touch head high or the man with the ball initiated head high contact is great.
This was never going to get you many likes.

Honestly I'm so glad I found this insta page, it's a beaut. Must be run by someone on bigfooty to have the same satire charm

That's what passes for satire these days? Seems pretty juvenile to me.

Anything is better than the shite delivered in the AFLW.

Guess that's pretty much up to interpretation. My interpretation of it is making fun of someone's stupidity/mistakes, such as the meme on Lynch being dominated by Andrews, or on someone's beliefs or distinctive traits in playful manors. But perhaps satire wasn't the right term to use. And maybe juvenile is the best term to use to describe me being a half-asian male in his late teens. But perhaps I should instead refer to you to read upon a page of bigfooty to see others interpretations of the term satire:
sorry if that came across as a bit aggressive, rereading it sounded that way, or maybe it's just my sheltered childhood of this generation influencing how I approach things

if you're actually interested in reading goes on for a few pages until people speak up about it being annoying

the great standard of the umpiring for the men.

Efa after the pathetic umpiring in the womens GF.

Coincidence I think. There is a Brazilian Restaraunt in the Valley called Leema's Lounge https://www.google.com.au/search?q=...j0j7&hl=en-GB&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
Note I had to google this as I am old and can count on one finger the times I have been to the Valley in the last 2 years that wasn't business related.

Oh dear not even more reason to avoid the Valley! I went to a Brazilian restaurant once in Boston, the resulting meat coma knocked me into vegetarianism for years afterwards. Those things are seriously dangerous.

I didn't think it was possible for anyone to do meat with more gusto than the Turks, but yeah the Brazillians play in a league all of their own.

Maybe the definition of satire changed and I missed it. Satire of that nature peaked nearly 20 years ago when South Park cropped Saddam Hussein's head. Perhaps it's just my dislike of crude photoshopping. Or maybe I'm just old now. :D

Not at all, just changes with every individual I think. And about South Park, still going strong, even in my generation most people around my age have seen SP: Bigger Longer and Uncut. But the one first episode for me that was really f'd up but made me realise just how far this was willing to go was, Scott Tennerman must die. The plot twist stills shocks me to this day :D.

Intelligent satire died with Frankie Howerd and Sid James.

Not forgetting Mr Sellers.

Satire for both the old and the young. Discuss with a positive verve, the Lions first quarter as viewed on either TV and/or digital media and include, its relationship to the premiership clock. Haso to grade with Simpsons memes?
