We only went down by 9 (137 to 126) despite missing a few of our better contested players. When you consider that we lost clearances by 12 (usually a strength for us), that suggests we did okay across the rest of the ground.

Some fantastic games to watch on the weekend. North v Demons and Hawks v Bulldogs were both classics. I also really enjoyed Saints v Pies for obvious reasons but the Saints were genuinely entertaining to watch.

That's actually pretty impressive given that we're without our two best contested players. I'll see how we go against GC before giving in to the doom and gloom. I suspect we would've lost by 90-100 if we played this Geelong team in Geelong last year, so there's that.
