The race for the top 4

Freo record against top 4 teams doesnt merit their reputation

Last season we hadn't beaten anyone in the Top 4, then in the finals we went boom, boom and beat Geelong and Sydney.

H&A season is nothing but the barrier draw for the Melbourne Cup (Finals)

Yeah a little more research is required.
Freo beat Geelong in Perth but will start underdogs against them in Geelong. Lost to Hawthorn at MCG but will start favourites at Subi... Lost to Sydney at SCG but would start favourites if at Subi.... if it was fixtured.

Very pissing contest.
Much dick-measuring.
Many flogs.

Especially the posters from your club who are more recent sign ups.

It's ironic that the long term Swans posters have forged a bit of a rivalry with Hawks supporters, yet the new breed of Swans on here are emulating the arrogance of your enemy.

You would be both ignorant and dumb if you think I'm a bandwagon supporter.
FYI, I have been on these boards a lot longer than you have, including prior to your 2007 join date. Try 2004/2005. Some of the Swans members know who I was previously (always mistaken for a support from a different team), but I don't think anyone knows my original account, I don't even remember it.

So I would be ignorant and dumb for not recognising you were a long term poster even though you yourself can't even remember what your original account was. Ok then...

Can't happen - Subi hosts a Rugby Test match that night.... Will be interesting to see how the AFL deals with our fixture.

They will just move it to the team you are playing stadium
No ifs or buts

You're right of course but it is ridiculous that once again the WA football commission has done this. It could impact on whoever has to travel across which wouldn't be a first

I imagine that it was something contracted before last year's almost debacle. Couldn't believe they would book the rugby again without thinking about a possible clash.

Don't know about that. 28,377 Posts and you are not making anymore sense now than you did after your first.
Smart people only say something when they have something intelligent to say. Others apparently spend every waking minute of their obviously sad life talking off the Top of their head. Talking of heads, If the cap fits wear it.

A Melbourne game will do that to you.

The winner of Cats v North will probably make it at the others expense given Geelong's relatively weak percentage

Once we're done with Sydney we get the W Bulldogs / Melbourne duo that Geelong have enjoyed post Gold Coast and Essendon performances

How we go in effectively building out percentage to effectively create a buffer against Port Adelaide, Geelong and North will prove crucial in our top 4 chances or otherwise

Of course they called it manic. They were hardly going to call it beautiful.

...what's your point? I was responding to the inconsistency of the poster who said that the Freo win against the Swans in PF was overrated, and then when challenged said Freo lost the GF because they didn't bring the same pressure "across the Nullabor."

Or am I missing the point and you just wanted a chance to say Ross Lyon is ruining football?

As at the end of round 17:
  • Sydney 3rd for offence and 2nd for defense
  • Freo 5th for offence and 1st for defense
  • Hawks 1st for offence and 9th for defense
  • Geelong 7th for offence and 7th for defense
  • Port 2nd for offence and 5th for defense

Freo is now (round 9 -17):
  • 3rd for offense
  • 1st for defense
  • 1st for goals per inside 50
  • 2nd for goals per inside 50 against
  • 1st for inside 50 against
  • 2nd for scores from stoppages differential
  • 1st for scores from turnover differential
Definitely have improved their attack on last year and retained their strength of defense.

3rd in regards to what? We're 5th in points for so I'm not sure how you worked that one out.

Is this taken over the whole season or since a certain round?
