I’ve also had a brush turkey build a nest in my wood chip pile and almost walked out the back door and stood on the biggest ****en anaconda sized python 🐍 I have ever seen.

Do they have platypuses that far north? I thought they were all down our way. Is that near the reef? I know vaguely where it is. Do you get crocs that far down?

The only one I’ve ever seen wild was up at the Atherton tablelands at Malanda I think. So yeah they’re up there.

They are getting crocs showing up now in the Fitzroy river and I think a couple have showed up on the beach at Poon. Can’t be a hundred on that one but.

When I was a kid we lived up in northern NSW. We had a huge carpet python that used to slide down between the liner boards on the ceiling in the kitchen. It used to scare the shit out of me, I don't mind the big snakes these days. They don't kill you.

Crocs are scary as ****. The fishing would be insane out there near the reef. Being out in a tinny near crocs not so much fun though but at least you can see them in the saltwater a bit easier.

Was on fire tonight, cracking the bag something shocking, all I had to do was think back to the daily instalments of Mowman and his room temperature IQ list of opinions.

Not surprised that you're on the crack-bag to be honest. Explains a fair bit of your posting.

I still remember back in the 90's having an eastern brown just chilling where our veggie garden was, on top of the potatoes, so we'd run out, pick some peas and citrus and "oh shi..." as it was there just taking in sun. So what do you do? Long handle shovel blade up, note where the head is and swing.

It spasmed something shocking so, few more swings, dinted the fence, but it was dead dead and transited back over to the what was then empty block of land that never got mowed as council sucks balls. Then later, much much later, random Tiger snake just chilling in the middle of the yard near a gate, so whilst sure, eastern brown venomous, but tiger, eegads man from around 5mg to 35mg if one of those bite you so he got to chill and back away slowly whilst maintaining eye contact.

That's kinda why we put more trees up to entice kookaburras, so they could you know, have a feed and then go hunt a bit for their daily protein, only that also enticed possums & cockatoos so FML.

When we lived in country my dad used to kill venomous snakes. It would get you fined these days but axes, shovels and guns came out for them. Pretty amazing how long a snake can last without a head. They are like chickens.

We have a couple of eagles up at the property now and I'm hoping they keep the snakes at bay.

I saw one off Fraser Island 6 months ago. 3 metres long. Seriously. Great Sandy Straights - maybe 1km off the mouth of the Mary river.

They have a right to be here but scare me more than sharks.

Way out of her depth
Imagine if she came up against a really decent female boxer
Milli is good but nothing exceptional and she showed her up

Big Sunday coming up
Might have to watch the game on delay!
No doubt mate. One of the biggest weekends I can remember. UFC 291 is an absolute ripper and then Spence v Crawford will be unreal. There's no way I'm choosing to sit through 2 hours of our dross in place of those fights.
