They take longer than you expect I remember being anxious about getting my first chilli and eating them green

I've got some cayenne from last year that have flowered up and one is fruiting. I put in some haberneros that aren't going yet but look healthy.

They'll keep fruiting in Autumn and into winter and with bigger pots you'll get a good crop so don't stress too much

When I've grown them in the past you end up with hundreds all at once too. Almost need to preserve them or make hot sauce.

I've got a dehydrator I make chilli flakes. Not really into hot sauce it's only good on certain things.

I'm not big on dried chilli.
To me it loses a lot of the flavour.

These day's i tend to like Jalapeno's a lot.

I bought some fresh pasta sauce with Carolina reapers in it the other day, the local IGA had it marked way way down as it got close to its use by and no-one was buying it.
I can eat the stuff , but i'm kidding myself if i say i enjoy it.

I like chillies for the flavour and I’m fine with a reasonable amount of heat, after that it’s just a jackass challenge imo although how much heat will vary from person to person.
