Gorilla of the Week​

I've spent the last few days pouring over last weeks loss, trying to ascertain where we went wrong. That is for another time. Where we went right was our run and gun. It was tough choice this week there were two Roys, fleet of foot, gut running all day against the Demons.
In the end i chose the player who had only been switched into the middle for the first time. Who collected 26 disposals all over the park, and also demonstrated some of the finest intercept marking across the middle we've ever seen.
Allikat (pictured above sprinting ahead) was immense on the weekend. 26 touches, 1 goal, but a crucial 10 marks. Without her running and intercepting it could have been much much worse.

And now for a new award. We here at the Roy HQ have decided to doff our caps to who we decide the best opposition poster of the week.
Presenting the ROYCOGNITION

now back in Round 1 philreich nabbed the Fatty Lumpkin Award, so it makes sense the philr is our back dated winner for round 1. He posted hard, bantered sharp and his jokes caused a colossal groan throughout both team. philr was a pleasure to banter against.
The Roys would love to give the special Roycognition you deserve.

Round 2 was unanimous. Aside from Barrels who misunderstands even the simplest of instructions, the Roys voted for the Demons prime ruck manangatang as the player most deserving of a bit of special Roycognition. Mananagatang was ever present repping the Demon in some witty and clever banter with all of the Roys posters. Mana's charisma and charm is clearly infectious as the Roys have begun a collection plate to lure the ruckman down the mountain for next season.

Well done to our special two. A deserved special ROYCOGNITION
