Maybe. Reasonably sure that Sydney will play on the Saturday and Brisbane the Sunday either way so they'll know beforehand. And I'm pretty sure both teams want to finish 5th, Port are more vulnerable in week 2 than Geelong, Melbourne or the Dogs

If Bris wins by combined 100 points over next 2 games, e.g. 50 pts each game, which is quite a possibility given their opposition, if Doggies lose next week at any margin Bris leaps them on %. You betcha they'll go hard to get that double chance. They'll be no holding back. Our best chance to get through week 1 finals is to play a Mel team or either of Syd teams.

Collingwood's biggest loss this year has been 30 points and West Coast will be fighting for a finals spot. It's approximately a 15 goal difference right now as you say, and the Dogs are playing Port, who have a 2-5 record against top 8 sides and a 0-3 record against the current top 4.

If Port lose this however it's likely that Brisbane take their spot.

Just the fact that a top 4 a chance is a chance when Brisbane play next week will be important, hopefully their game is early in the round.
