I've had grand final accommodation booked in Melbourne for 3 months now. I've been working like a dog all year doing 60 hour weeks and need a couple of nights away from my family (god bless them) and the drudgery of every day life.

Swans, if nothing else, please win this for me and the sake of my alone time, enjoying a buffet breakfast, relaxing by the hotel pool, or a drinking a negroni in the lounge.

Please don't make me spend the weekend with my family (god bless them)

The dual god bless them really sold it.

I'd be happy enough with that, but would want to have tested Jmac's agility and change of direction thoroughly at training. Anyone who is sub must be ready to play a full game and be able to perform.

Cleary would be my sub otherwise.
The Cleary we saw in the last two games of the H&A season is the exact sort of player we're lacking in the team at the moment, but understandably is lower down the pecking order than others due to lack of exposure. My mind keeps going back to those two games where we "debuted" him as sub in both games and learned nothing about what he could do whilst simultaneously depriving him - and ourselves - of the chance to establish his place in the team as that pressure forward we so clearly need.

Was a poor selection choice at the time and it's only aged worse now that we know Cleary could've been that player all along but we simply left it too late.

I think Campbell can do it too, maybe not as much gut running/pressure as Cleary showed, but he is more of a goal threat. More mature body (excl face), more experienced.

Though I'm not as fussed by experience for the sake of it, when form is good.

Port certainly isn't, with newcomers/younger types such as Evans, Burgoyne, Lorenz, Sinn.

Yeah but you need to apply that pressure all over the ground. Given Adams won't be a main mid, I'd rather improve our forward line and defensive pressure with the likes of Campbell and Fox.
Statistically Adams had a similar game to Heeney.
Kicked 1.1. (Heens 1.1). Had 20 disposals (17 for Heens) & played 80%game time (78%). Had 274 metres gained (122).
1 goal assist each.

I'm just saying that it's a totally different ball game to a home & away.
I agree with Fox playing as he offers a variety of positional options.

Coaches will know.

Coaches dropped him for the QF. Against a better midfield.

Are you suggesting Adams will/should replace Heeney as one of the main mids? Or get equal time? If not, who misses out?

I just read this...

"Only two preliminary finals have been hosted at the SCG and both, in 2022 against Collingwood and in 1996 against Essendon, ended in a one-point victory to the Swans."

So all our Prelim easier wins have been at the MCG and Olympic Stadium. The SCG loves to provide heart attack games. Of course I'll take a 1 point win, but I don't think my heart can take it!

It would need to be an inside pool.

If Jmac isn't dropped then sub yeah.

Fox, Campbell into the 22.

Night I suggest remove the thought. He’s our best and only A grade winger I may suggest he starts there. He needed the run 2 weeks ago wish people would stop making it out like they expected him to be Gulden on return.

You mean Gulden our best winger?

He wasn't unfit, he looked hampered in movement and completely out of touch.

I just don't know why we risk a repeat when Campbell looked great.
