If you could all do us a massive favor and flog port and then geelong, what would be great.
Best team all year and deserve it. Best of luck

Good pointWhen was the last time Fox played a game? Has he even played reserves since his shoulder injury?
Play Adams for midfield grunt and great blocks at stoppages. Shame about his delivery inside 50.
Perhaps Parker as the sub cos he’d come on super pissed off.
He will be playing so let’s hope so.McInerney? If he's playing he better have pulled up a hell of a lot better then when he did the other week.
Can we get Grundy to message a Geelong player and a Brisbane player on Instagram that he will see him sometime next year? You know, really give them a false sense of security!Port played on emotion last week after copping a pasting in the media and a Ginnivan post. Not sure they play with that intensity this week given they belted us last time
After they belted us last time you would hope pride kicks in and we turn up to repay the favour.
I think that's the way it will go.This dropping/subbing JMac is beyond weird
If he started 2 weeks ago he should start this week. He’ll be a million times better for the run, think of him like a racehorse, you need a run before they go well. He’s not a first up specialist!
Fox for Mills
Campbell stays sub we finally have found a great sub
They've beaten us the last 8 times. It's a thing.Port played on emotion last week after copping a pasting in the media and a Ginnivan post. Not sure they play with that intensity this week given they belted us last time

It's more a conversation around 'what if' it came down to that. If it's Wicks or Cleary then you go Wicks every time - Yeah the guy was out of form for a few games (mind you it was when the whole team was out of form), but his body of work and best footy has it over Cleary's 2 games AFL experience... At the end of the day come the pointy end you just have to back your better experienced players in (mcinerney included) and hope they go well.Suspension aside, I can't understand why Wicks is even being mentioned. His form in the seniors was very ordinary hence he was dropped to the reserves. Did nothing special whilst playing in the reserves other than get suspended.
My God, more than half the people here suggest we should drop McInerney yet bring in someone like Wicks. Crazy.
If we want to win the premiership, we need McInerney in the in the side and in the form he was in 10 weeks ago. He is in the top 10 of our playing list. If you want to drop him and replace him with a player ranked 23-24 say Goodbye to winning the flag.
Bringing in Fox to have him play forward (even in a defensive role) would be maybe the worst change we could make out of the options available to us.Fox on Burgoyne?
Campbell being pushed back into defence is the reason Campbell remained a fringe player for so long.Campbell to defence, we need a reliable kick out of defence.
If Jmac is still a little proppy make him the sub and start Adams. We often struggle with the bigger bodies so a contested player in the middle should help us weather the first quarter
He just played better, I don't think the position had as much to do with it. Really threw himself at the ball the last couple of matches which made all the differenceCampbell being pushed back into defence is the reason Campbell remained a fringe player for so long.
He was superb on the wing / half-forward line against GWS. He needs to be there.
The psychology of the footy fan. This week they will argue that history will repeat because they have the same side, but what will they say if they do beat us and have to face Geelong in the GF?I do like it that a few of them keep pointing to the fact that they have the "EXACT SAME SIDE" that beat us by 112 a month ago (minus Houston and the other defender guy) so they should be able to walk it in.
But they neglect acknowledging we were playing a side with Ladhams and Francis FFS. And we were missing Rampe, Papley, Amartey, McInerney and Melican.
Same thing happened last year when a couple of key defenders were injured mid game. Losing defenders wrecks our structure.
Oh yeah, my bad. Had that the wrong way round in my head.Bringing in Fox to have him play forward (even in a defensive role) would be maybe the worst change we could make out of the options available to us.
If we're worried about Burgoyne's influence, Jordon should go to him.
Horse has beaten Ken before, so have some of our players. They've beaten us the last 8 times. It's a thing.
Many of our players have never beaten them. That's the danger.
It will be in the Port players' heads positively & in ours negatively.
Should they get a jump on us, it will a battle for our group to overcome the demons of past games.
Paul Roos couldn't beat any Malthouse coached Collingwood team.
Not once. Gulden is the key here. They shut him down & we & our gameplan are rendered useless.
What may save us?
The extra week rest. The home ground advantage.
But we need to snap out of our slumber v Port Adelaide.
Yep!Horse has beaten Ken before, so have some of our players.
Port will only have 3 players who have won a Prelim (Boak, Aliir, Rioli), 2 of them at other clubs.
Port haven't won 2 finals in a decade.
Port's last Prelim ended up in a 71 point loss at home, to a team they had a 6-2 record against in their last 8. They'd finished 2nd, won their QF and lost to the 5th placed Dogs.
Watching port Vs swans 112 point loss now for some context.
Early observations: Francis and Ladhams huge liabilities. We look way more stable with Rampe and Melican in the team.
Francis is so slow and lazy. Being a good vfl player is nice, but he belongs nowhere near our A-team.
There ain't going to be no repeat of this. That's for damn sure.
I don't want Ladhams anywhere near the team.I'd almost want Ladhams in ahead of McLean atm anyway. (Not going to happen)
Surely a better chance of taking some down the line marks and some inside 50 grabs than McLean atm. Last time they both played? (Which would obvioulsy make the forward line way too slow).
If I had to guess Ladhams will be moving on this year in the ruck merry-go-round, he's going to get game time elsewhere. Wonder if he ends up like Cameron, a very decent option for a team. Wouldn't surprise me.
Agree. Ladhams is a first ruck with very limited forward craft. He doesn’t play unless Grundy gets injured.I don't want Ladhams anywhere near the team.
McLean may not be perfect but he's not useless and can control his emotions unlike that nitwit Ladhams. Also we spent the entire preseason training for McLean, McDonald and Amartey as our three headed monster. Bringing in Ladhams while Amartey was injured threw off their system in my opinion.
Just watching the game now it's become painfully clear our forward line was dysfunctional with Ladhams. Very sad to see.

Prior to the 8 losses we had beaten them 14 out of 15 times over an 11 year period. You make no reference of that…. Is that not a thing? Do you just cherry pick what the media spurt out. They've beaten us the last 8 times. It's a thing.
