JM, if you mention this 'stupid' and 'accidental' trade one more time in one more thread im going to smash my laptop over my head just so i dont have to read it anymore...

It's all about justification.. We should all have a swig every time he mentions it :D hang on, we might end up on Super Coach and trading..Bottoms up!!

He wont wont be coming back into my team ever in two week time once I trade his ar5e out.

If it wasn't for Rance getting injured then Spudrenko would be getting his marching orders and upgraded to Waite/Newman this week.

lol I'm talking about Petrenko getting back in the crows line up:mad:

Sorry mate, has just really annoyed me that's all. Hopefully I have got it out of my system now. :p

Your unlucky on the Greenwood issue. Would be interesting to see if Petrenko did get dropped.. how long it would take for him to come back in.

I just don't understand how Greenwood could get dropped? two 15+ possie game for a rookie is not bad.....In hindsight it was the wrong trade and should have gone Broughton... Yes, it was a newbie mistake too...why go for Laidley rookie when I could go for Harvey's rookie...

Anyhow still have:

Super Zac-Hill

I remember you saying Prompts after I traded Walker out that he is the new Hill. Thought you were on the p1ss or talking the p1ss (maybe both) :p Looks like I should start calling you Nostradamus. Can you give me this weeks lotto numbers? :D

I wish I had Walker back but doubt I would have had the balls to start him on the ground over Macaffer anyways.

LOL - nah I was just thinking - what do the Crows see in the guy?

There must be something about Walker ..like S.Hill...They actually started the guy on the field...LOL

Walker ran riot today..he actually could have scored more if he kicked straight in the first quarter..LOL

I was listening on MMM and they call him TEX (lol texas walker - chuck norris..LOL)

When my only playing rookies for next round are

Walker (now macaffer), Pyke, Suban..

When that is all the cashyour gonna get.. You need to fix up the cash cows.

I know one this aobut SC adn that is that if you don't haev cash then you either need to
) get cash cows to get cash
) downgraed a good player to a lower players whos going up in order to upgrade another..

All cash cows ahave died bar those three..

Garlet OUT
Walker 11.. I believe when I saw that he had hit is max I traded hi out to reak the rewards of all that cash hes earnt.. ou know.. the er... 80k!!
Jacobs OUT
Pyke... took a risk, thought hes played sport higher level before, so he should be more stable looks good
Robinson OUT
Beams OUT
Hartlett OUT
Cheney OUT
Rance OUT

Suban
Pyke are the only two still goin out of my original few...

And by the way, when I got rid of Ziebell I turned him into... Richo... who then got 22 x2 lost heaps of price and died...

How many trades do you have left.

Cant understand how anybody could have traded Zeibell yet. Defeats the purpose of having him in the first place. Last year i had Brad Ebert, had nothing special scores of 50-60's and one 100. I ended up trading him for something like 290k. Even average cows will get to 300k or very close, you have to be patient. Robinson could be back this week, has had 2 decent games in the last 2 weeks, Cheney the same, Hartlett should be back this week, Beams not long after.

Got him on my bench but not as an emergency. :(

Don't even know why he's not highlighted, he's been an emergency all year. **** it!

Tex was going to be my 9th forward. i actually had both him & M Brown named as emergencies as I had no cover in my mids or rucks.

It was only from checking on here that I discovered M Brown was a late out. Then I remembered someone said if you have 2 emergencies named in the one position you get the lower of the 2 scores.

So I made Hartlett an emergency even though he wasn't named, and made Tex the only forward emergency, just in case.

Phew!!!! :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Anyone who kept him simply lucked out

Was playing crap all season, and neil craig was giving him a petrenko (a huge dud) no TOG. then, he flukes a 124.

Yes,i traded him last week, but it ridded me of kerr before hsi awesoem 32 and price drop of 64k.. so its a win for me anyways

i look forward to walkers next two scores of 32 and 19.

I hope so. Along with his nearly $30k rise this week, a 32 and 19 will see him go up a further $50k+. :thumbsu:

I do agree that it was luck (for me at least) that he's still in the side. I had planned on trading him out but other things got in the way.

The thing is though if you had a combo of Walker and Macaffer/Warren/Nayas on your bench then would you seriously have picked Walker as an emergency to start over them?

No way, I had Walker/Warren bench... Of course I picked warren as emerg.

The lucky ones are those that had walker as the only playing forward bench position. Good on 'em!

I'm just stoked to have persisted with both SHill and Walker and will now reap the rewards $:D$:D$:D$

Maybe this could be a SC rule, if it isn't already ... the 'taylor walker' rule

Keeping him wasn't "luck" for anyone who follows Adelaide closely.

with all the injuries teams are facing, I can't understand why trading walker for $90K cash was so desperately important to do after round 6

Agree completely, hondo. I don't think it was luck at all. He was named in the team, and with Hentschel injured always going to get games. I've always followed a similar rule of "don't trade a healthy playing rookie for less than $150k profit".

Even better news is Neil Craig is talking up a mid-season gameplan change that will revolve around quick movement through the middle to increase the dearth of inside-50s for them. Walker could be a major benefactor of this as his one-on-one contested marks look to be his strength.

So you wouldn't trade out garlett or robinson or crappy melbourne ruckman etc.... you'd just leave them there and not have any cash coming in

The fact is you dont have enough trades in a season to completely refresh your whole bench twice.

22 rounds is more than enough time to get two or even three rookies cycling through the ONE bench position providing nice cash deposits throughout the season.

No, we don't like having these duds on our benches, but trading them out is a luxury I don't beleive any one can afford.

Agree completely

I've had Hurley & Anthony sitting on my bench since round 1. Both should be back soon and, until now, I haven't needed their cover so I simply saved the trades. Jacobs the same. The only injury I have traded out is Raines. I have 15 trades left and don't plan to do any this week, ranked in top 2000.

i now have a series of short term injuries to ride out in Kornes, Hodge, Hartlett, Rance and maybe even Fev. I just have to suck it up and cop a donut here or there until they come back.

Un_Oc I think you are almost into single figures with trades left and it's only round 7! Listen to this man!!!

Read what I wrote again, genius.

Either way I wouldn't trade them. There's no point in having cash cows if you don't have the trades to cash them in later in.

Was going to trade him then saw Sidebottom named on the extended interchange of the pies. Took a punt that he would be named and brought him off my bench and replaced him with Walker who I duly made an emergency.

Then Sidebottom doesn't get picked and Higgins is a late withdrawal from my team. As a result i pick up Walker's score and now with Medhurst and Davis out I also get Sidebottom's!! Feel like I have been kissed on the dick by the supercoach fairy....

I think you'll find his names Bruce

...and he likes a cuddle afterwards.

He hadn't really risen enough in value to justify wasting a trade to move him on. (Now of course that is different).

Most who benefited on the weekend did so because they had him as emergency to Higgins. My opponent Kevin Sheedy had me rolled this weekend because we both had Higgins (and he had Taylor Walker as emergency), fortunately for me Sidebottom, my forward emergency, was a late inclusion and he got me across the line.

Now if Patrenko can just fire like that before Adelaide move him back to the SANFL.

I think it should be called the 'stephen hill' rule if anything. this was the only reason i kept walker cos i was one the many that traded out hill for cheney

The one rookie that is annoying me is Tom Swift, whom I made a poor call as I thought his NAB cup form would get him a start. I should have stuck with Sidebottom who I had pencilled in before the season. I do still have Hill, Rich, and Walker!
