So, the local elections on Thursday have brought a fairly big marker that the UK wants to kick the Tories to the kerb. Whether Sunak decides now is the time to set the date for the big one remains to be seen, though he must by now realise that defeat is inevitable. If he limps on, he may cost the Tories more seats. Then again, a fraught leadership campaign ahead of an election might do the same.

Question is will they leave electoral booby traps like our miserable bunch of conservatives here in australia?

Rwanda is the hill he's chosen to die on, so I expect he'll hold off on a GE until there are planes in the air and he has something, one thing to point to as an achievement.
He cuts a pretty sad figure in news clips, like a boss of a business about to go under giving the "everything's fine, keep coming in, of course you'll still get paid" speech.

I believe his dad was a toolmaker, and he took violin lessons with classmate Norman Cook.

Sounds familiar.

Cheaper to put them on a permanent world cruise.

Treating people like shit on purpose many times more costly than decency
Labour now having to clean up the Tories mess. They just stopped processing people.

Given Starmer campaigned for leadership on voting the exact way these suspended MPs did, it just further shows the hollowness of him as a politician.

Hopefully the success of a real left over the Channel can be a cause of inspiration and the seven can join some of the left wing independents in building something new.
