Well then they got lucky, because they needed a ruck

Not just that, I cant see them giving up a first rounder for a 31 year old ruckman.
They'd be moving down the draft order about 24 spots.
I'd prefer we gave Stewart or Miles that opportunity.I'd like to throw Ben Lennons name out there. Clearly it would only be if a list spot was open but he is on the outta at that club and with Sicilys backline form I think we are in need of a HFF. Could do worse and won't cost much.

i reckon there might be a cheap Chris Mayne going shortly, anyone?
i kinda said it jokingly. But say he gets paid out by collingwood at 500k a year, would he be willing to play some somewhere for cheap? like 100k cheap?Would need to be three years younger and very very cheap.

Put him in a place who won't publically embarrass him and who knows what could happen.
Has AFL experience and could fill a depth position. But probably not what we're after.
Top Group: (20)
Burgoyne, Roughead, Birchall, Frawley, Rioli, McEvoy, Breust, Smith, Gunston, Puopolo, Stratton, Henderson, Mitchell, Ceglar, O'Meara, Sicily, Howe, Brand, Burton, Hardwick
Squad Depth: (12)
Shiels, Vickery, Schoenmakers, Duryea, Whitecross, Langford, Hartung, O'Brien, Heatherley, *Glass, Morrison, *Cousins
The Rest: (9)
O'Rourke 23 - unsure about his future, would need a big VFL Finals series to give the coaches a reason to keep him on
Stewart 20 - still maturing small forward, contract is up unsure
Miles 20 - another yr on his contract, doing well in VFL, needs a big pre-season
Pittonet 21 - developing into a top quality VFL Ruck, should get a few AFL games soonish
Lovell 20 - the type of player that loves 1-2's, loves gathering poss, but never hurts opponents with his poss, needs to be less greedy for stats and more impactful imo
Willsmore 22 - he is an ok VFL Player, doesnt look likely to be more than that, likely to be delisted
Lewis 19 - leading forward with good hands, still developing
*Hanrahan 19 - x-factor, skillful, small frame needs a couple of good pre-seasons if he wants an AFL opportunity
*Nash 19 - very tall running player, a bit like Glass, still needs a bit of education on the game, but a natural athlete
* = rookies
Players that could be traded..... Puopolo, Shiels, Schoenmakers, Whitecross, Duryea, Hartung, O'Brien
Players that might be delisted..... O'Rourke, Willsmore
Henderson as top 20 and Liam Shiels as squad depth... you do realise that only one of those two is our vice captain and it aint Hendo...
I suggest we ask Clarko if a 3 time premiership player makes our best22i dont care what Liam Shiels is, but he isnt in our top 20 players right now.
I believe he is! His absence against Carlton cost us that gamei dont care what Liam Shiels is, but he isnt in our top 20 players right now.
i dont care what Liam Shiels is, but he isnt in our top 20 players right now.
Yet Clarko picks him every weeki dont care what Liam Shiels is, but he isnt in our top 20 players right now.
Yet Clarko picks him every week
Going by your top group that had Henderson and Brand types, I would value Shiels higher than those two.Top Group: (20)

Pup's name would be one of the first written down each weekYet Clarko picks him every week
Hey, what have I ever done to you?Going by your top group that had Henderson and Brand types, I would value Shiels higher than those two.
I wonder what our answer would be if a club like GC offered two first rounders for Rioli? He's reliant on his speed & athleticism which will naturally diminish in his latter years.
Wouldnt happen unless there was elite talent involved. No point getting picks if we cant use them to our need which is elite talent not just highly talented ones. And if that were going to happen, rioli be worth much more to gws and could do almost straight swap for greene or shiel (if those 2 wanted to go home) or kelly, giants would bloody love rioli up there.
