The one who most obviously should have done the one stop was Leclerc
Maybe Piastri wins if he one stops, but with the car he had (best pace/lower top speed without DRS) it doesn't make sense to me for him to do that strategy.
- Ferrari would have known before any other team that the degradation on the hard tyre was minimal. Sainz could have gone longer on the hard tyre than he did, Leclerc with less fuel coming on the hard tyre in the second part of the race would have had even less deg.
- Ferrari was matching the pace of the top 3 until the final pitstop when the other teams started to push. Whereas the other drivers pulled out an extra 0.2 seconds a lap Leclerc didn't have this and couldn't stay with Hamilton
- Ferrari had a good top speed without DRS and Verstappen/Norris couldn't get past Leclerc at the end of the race once the tyres had gone off.
