Ok so Oscar is a legitimate World Champion of the future. I think we should remember how old and his experience. Perhaps McLaren should be have Oscar as number 1 driver.

Oscar is always really hard on himself.
He is improving every race. He seems to have gotten his tyre deg issues of the last 18 months under control.

U
Norris definitely doesn’t like Oscar. When they’re both on the podium and the champagne starts, Norris always makes an effort to ignore Piastri. Notice it every time
Oh definitely, Lando is a prat and always has been, he’s not very likeable except in the UK. The entitlement of all the Brits in and sport makes me 🤮

that shot of the fans down to the first turn is insane. if someone can get an overhead shot of it then thats an incredible shot.

also funny for them to say try and be in charles' shoes. nico's tongue must be bleeding seeing as he has won at monza.

That’s on Oscar though. They asked him about one stopping and he told them not an option. I don’t blame him either. If Charles got chased down with a couple of laps to go he didn’t lose anything and it was worth a try. If Oscar stayed out after leading the whole race and didn’t make it to the finish it would look pretty embarrassing.
It's not on Oscar they asked him if he could 1 stop he said no his tires are dead and left it at that and boxed him.

They never told him that Lando wouldn't catch based on his lap times after boxing and that his tires were in better nick than the Ferrari's behind.

The teams are the ones with the data and they either were too stupid to use it or ignored it even though we seen in spa only 2 races ago the hards can last forever they repeat the same mistake.and lose another win.

Oscar could have won Silverstone, spa & monza if the team made the right calls.

Ferrari only did it because it was a no risk strategy. Pit and finish 3 or 4, don't pit and was worst case 3 or 4 and best case 1,2. Not sure their data was interpreted any better but was a no brainer decision

Can’t blame anyone about Oscar not winner today. Ferrari never pull off a good strategy but they managed it the one time Oscar was in the lead and looking like winning.

Aussies still feel cursed in this sport. I imagine this is what it’s like barracking for St Kilda or Freo.

Nah, Oscar and friends have a chance to win, they're not rallying against history that'd break the very fabric of a sporting institution, they're just making timing screw ups.

Simon Lazenby the worm now interviewing Zac Brown really trying to pressure McLaren into admitting that Oscar shouldn’t have attacked Lando on turn 4. Such a tosser that bloke. Trying to exert influence on the way a team directs their drivers on the track.

I thought the same thing. Really pushing him to blame Oscar. This pile on is so ridiculous. They obviously have a problem with Australian drivers when they beat “their” boys.
The interview with Little Miss Sook, Lando was very interesting. He did blame Oscar saying it was too aggressive. He doesn’t play well with others, he really sooks it up when things don’t go his way and the British press treat him like his a 7 time world champ. He’s won 2 races.

Also another update

Magnussen has an automatic race ban after reaching 12 penalty points

First driver to get banned under the current penalty points system… which has now been in for well over a decade

Should be the end of him.

Mclaren absolutely stupid they clearly could have got to the end with a 1 stop.
These conservative strategy decisions are throwing away the WDC..yes they probably win the constructors but max will probably win by 10-20 pts when he rarely shouldnt.

And boo RB for making strategy errors with dan again but at least the car was a bit quicker.

Zak brown is a nice guy but hes not a decisive enough leader imo.

Same can be said for Oscar, stay out react only if Charles boxes worst case p2 behind Lando if the top 3 boots fall off, best case easy win.

Boxing when the team knew Lando wasn't going to catch Charles unless he pitted again resigned themselves to p2 at best and praying the tires failed for Charles.

For those wanting MCL to use team orders.. Even if they do Lando will continue to bottle things so it is pointless when he has so little chance to win the WDC.

Maybe if he and his team had proven they have the ability to take every opportunity that is given them it would be worth making the races worse and team mates dislike each other but MCL and Lando clearly don't have the capability to do so yet..

All Team orders would have done today is make the race a whole lot more boring and Lando 99% still ****s up.

The MCL team has been the fastest since just after Miami and only have 3 wins when they should have 6+ by now.

I think that's the most dominant Oscar has been over Norris over a whole race. Always looked the quicker of the two. Even with Norris getting a benefit of a couple of undercuts he's still well clear.

I don't see that McLaren did much wrong, it didn't really make much sense for them to go with the riskier strategy, and it looked like Ferrari only just managed to pull it off in the end anyway.
