I was spot on re AT. He flipped plain and simple. Gubby did a super job for you. Im not going to argue the point though as its a no win. Just read my posting back then and compare it to media reports after the deal was done. They marry up.

We had a source that is basically confirmed as a pies recuiter at the time (may still be) tell us at least 2 weeks in advance he was going to the pies, you were on here telling us he was going to Richmond while we laughed and said he’s going to the pies. I remember a mod telling me off for revealing the source even though he blatantly posts on the internet.
Let me guess you threw a dart at Prestia (don’t know if you did or didn’t as I didn’t follow that trade) and got it right and now tiger fans believe you, now you’re now throwing a dart at a 50/50 in Lynch and hoping lands

What did he say about Treloar? How often did his information change?

He proved during the Treloar saga he has no sources and is making it up. We had a source with a proven record that ended up being right and for memory that tiger71 guy was confused why we were so confident

Without going over old ground, there were reasons to be confident. GWS has two lines of messaging from different people. You'd be stoked with Treloar. We ended up OK as well.

We didn't get Shiel either, which we thought we would, and he puts his hand up.

He was spot on with Dusty all the way through. And to be fair to him, he was talking Lynch at the start of LAST season.

Who knows where Lynch ends up. If he goes to you, he's a great get. But every board has some form of source. None of them will be 100% right, because situations change.

But he's had a very consistent theme of bringing up names before they happen/are reported in media.

I’m sure your source meant what they said but if they were wrong about Treloar, why couldn’t they also be wrong about Lynch? Anyway, I don’t think it’s particularly worth it for either club to pay a massive premium so not fussed if you’re right.

Boys while everyone is having a go I thought I would mention. Went to the Pies vs Brisbane game earlier in the year on a boys trip. One of my best mates invited his wife’s best friends new partner who is a mad Collingwood fan. I found out that his brother in law is Lynch’s manager. I asked the question back then if he knew anything. He said to me that Lynch was Richmond or Hawthorn bound as much as it killed him to say it. Now that was early in the season and things could have changed and I hope so but sort of had ingrained from that trip that Lynch was not ours.
