Rhinos are my favourite african animal.

They just rule.

I went out to the Matopos to see them in the wild because the poachers decimated them at Hwange. They are majestic in the wild and my than worth having to go to Bullies for.

Thing I dont understand/ shit me is how humans these days could allow these beautiful, basically defenceless animals to become so close to extinction on our watch.

You can largely blame Traditional Chinese "Medicine" for the ongoing poaching of rhinos.

IIRC they either think its an aphrodisiac or a cancer cure

Some rich fellah with a small willy wants to sprinkle some powered horn on his Cheerios, and bingo: extinction of a species. And not one of the ugly, worm based ones either. One of the pretty ones with a proper face and everything.

Was sitting down near a shopping mall entrance, drinking a cappuccino and smoking a cigarette.
A huge crow swooped down from a tree, maintaining the same height as my head, and came straight for me, except it sat down right next to me on the brick wall I'm sitting on.

I put a finger out to its beak and it started to nibble lightly on it.

Went to Monarto Safari Park on Friday. Brilliant. Will be even better once they finish the resort/get a lot more animals (planning on having 30 rhinos by next few years)

We did the 360 last year, dont bother doing the feeding option in the 360, you get just as close not feeding, we did the feeding of the lions and hyenas a couple years ago, both brilliant, got to pat the hyenas aswell

It's the lightweights that spoil it for the rest of us, I could drink full strength beer all day at the footy or cricket and I'd be drunk but I'd behave myself.

i was listening to the radio and the news was reporting on the incident in London - and the news said what the suspect who is on the run was wearing - 'he was wearing a grey tracksuit' - i began to look around to see if i could see them.......oh, thats right, we are in australia and it happened in England.
