Why on earth is 200ml of beer an option anywhere?!

That is very interesting

Question for the states :

Victoria- does anyone actually ask for a “Megapot “?

South Oz - Imperial Pint . Seriously?

Tassie - WTF ? It’s not 1886
Not all pubs do imperials while others do them as standard

Almost all pubs will do our pint/Vic schooner as the standard though

So sometimes schooner is big and sometimes it’s small 😭😭 help meeee
Why SA/WA made a schooner a different size to every other state is beyond me.

Not as funny as Vic calling it a 'Megapot' though :tearsofjoy:

As someone who's drank regularly in NSW and Vic, I think the schooner is a better side. A pot barely touches the sides and you'll need to reorder again before you know it.

Schooner is the perfect size glass
That’s why I’m pissed WA doesn’t have them

Reminds me of Faye Dunaway in Barfly, her alco price for a fella offering drinks was ‘a fifth of bourbon’, had to look that one up (as in a fifth of a gallon; standard 750ml wine bottle). Apparently a US thing for when quart bottles of spirits weren’t filled all the way.

If you were in the military as a young adult and spent time in several states then the variant beer lingo you pick up quickly (and the on base bars are obviously a separate world with a from all over clientele). I seldom drink beer and yet I feel like I’ve ordered all the kinds at some point.

As a non beer drinker I HATE when I have to order someone a beer because I don’t understand all the sizes!!! Why can’t they just be small medium or large what the **** IS A SCHOONER

Don't you work in hospitality.

There's a pony , but no stallions.
There middy , 7 oz...pot.
Pint , and schooners .

For other drinks Tall ball , tumbler.

Prob missed a few been a long time between drinks 🍺 🍺.

Tried to order a pint in Adelaide last year and her response was 'A big one or a small one?'. Say what now? They have 2 pint sizes.
When I go to the football or cricket, I always ask for a beer in a big cup
