Society & Culture Things in life you just don't understand - Part 5

My mum got jam donut flavoured ice-cream. I don't understand why someone thinks the world needs that flavour of ice-cream. I also don't understand how having had me and my sister try it that the two who like jam donuts didn't like it and then you have me that likes it but hates jam donuts.
If I have a jam donut, I want the texture of a jam donut. Not ice cream :(

STFU indeed. Farmers are screaming out for some as the crops need it desperately.
Yep , I share farm my property , we’ve had one good crop in the last 5 years. A region near us hasn’t had adequate rain in 6 seasons. My crop is just shooting now but we’ve had maybe 12mm of rain in the last few months so things aren’t looking good.

Stuff all rain, cold weather and frosts. Terrible mix

We do need frosts at times as they help set the stone fruits like apricots out here , but consistent frosts are no good too.

Yeh try being a builder in winter

Rain triggers me like nothing else these days

Hate it , would love to be able to enjoy but all I think about is

Lost time
Erosion
Leaks
Uncovered materials
Soggy sites
Bogged trucks
Ruined concrete
Flooding neighbors
Earthwork rework

And on
And on

🙄

It started raining when I went to get a coffee the other day, I got back into the office very quickly let me tell you, I hope this anecdote helps.

You make good points. We are always thinking about the farmers. But no one thinks about the builders.

It’s either

Rain and food for people
Or
No rain and dwellings for people.

If I was 20 again maybe
Could go up north to the mining cash cow like everyone else but I like my bed too much
(Been there done that didn’t love it )

Thank you for your understanding

For disclosure I did choose to live in the wettest area of my state so it’s of my own doing 😁

Luckily it’s drying out over the last 10-20 years

The old locals reckon it used to rain 9 months of the year and drop off the trees the other 3

No worries cut snake

Women's magazines.
We sell them where I work and I still don't know how they sell.

Make up shit, clickbait front cover, unsubstantiated claims - most likely lies.

Raining in the cities doesnt really help the farmers anyway (i think).
