Jet by Paul McCartney is on one of my Daily Mixes today. Haven't listened to it in a while, but **** me it is a cracking song.

Jet was his black lab and the whole sergeant major stuff was apparently a reference to Linda's dad. Linda plays the single note moog line during the verses. Such a brilliant musician.

Great song though.

Marginally worse result that Morrison and we're acting like it's the end of history here. Would argue that that having formed government Trudeau now has a mandate to implement his agenda?

I'm not celebrating/commiserating anything. Numbnuts thinks it's a great result for the 'left', when two of the left' parties shed a heap of seats and the only one that gained any has a different agenda. The conservative party won the popular vote, which while it means nothing to the result was apparently important when Hilary lost and is apparently an important metric for the Greens who won 1 seat here... the only positive is that a decent percentage of the population have realised that Trudeau is a populist fool.

It's very similar to here really, people have got the shits with the govt but don't have much faith in the alternative either. It's not a good outcome because it represents a dearth of decent options.

Do you have to wear high vis? I was walking past CBC the other day and some teachers were wrangling some kids along the road and they were all kitted out in high vis vests which I thought a bit much, particularly considering it's a catholic school and her upstairs is meant to be watching out for them.
