Last day for Climbing Uluru and strong winds have delayed the opening

Based upon an admittedly small sample size comprising the amount of times I've visited Uluru over the last 25 years, and I thought "too windy" was how they'd soft banned the climb for yonks.

Don't get whitey boomers losing their minds over this

It’s not whitey boomers losing their minds - it’s gen x and of course your every day influencer

But it’s closed now and that’s a good thing. It can start to heal

Boomer mindset is do as I say, not as I do/did. There are plenty of grey nomads out there in their late 50s and 60s who have yet to climb Uluru. For the original baby boomers (born immediately after WWII) climbing Uluru is getting beyond them whether it's closed or not.

If every person over the age of 60 had already climbed Uluru then resistance would be a lot lower. So people in their 20s and 30s can't climb it? Stiff shit, should've been born earlier.

We didn't even put our tree up last year. :(

Aw.

Hey im not getting a real tree- my apartment really isnt big enough for a massive tree.

I got blue, morone and silver bauble thingys- gonna fill a vase with them. A silver "Merry xmas" sign. Got the little tree still. And getting holly for the front door.

We didn’t either and don’t think I will again this year much to my kids disgust. Aren’t going to be here so I’m just not sure it’s worth the effort.

I am gonna do more this year.

ie. not with dumb decorations i mean giving more.

Will buy my parents a new kettle (cos they need one) but also buy presents for like charities- that give them onto kids.

/no not fishing for compliment.

Well done shell. Giving back to the community

I've been trying to convince my sister to stop putting up the tree for years. Just way too much effort setting it up imo.

Putting it up was always the easy bit - getting someone to take it down was a whole other story

We didn't either
I don't care either way but the Mrs is usually all over that stuff and the tree has to be up on pageant day
Dunno what got into her but she said she couldn't be bothered
I have a feeling she's making up for it this year.... she was looking at Xmas shit the other day and we do not need any more tinsel, jingle balls or plastic shiney reindeer rubbish from kmart
