It's a gyp, but it's still awesome.
Cesspool that gets awesome names ala DJ Shadow and Bonobo last year.

Nightmares on Wax on Thursday, be there for the music and the awkward mating ritual for between the batches of 16 year olds who've been in since 5pm or be square.

Enjoying the $10 350ml Heinekens or the $30 Pimms jugs?

It's just money.

Creating plenty of memories, having a few laughs, and looking at the plethora of pretty girls here.

Heading to Bank Street Social in a bit too. :thumbsu:

See, at least you're owning your upper class yuppie now :p

Not sure what obscene costs and the place in particular have to do with those things though.

Fringe Club is pretty mint this year though.

All this shit will be in my way when shopping tomorrow in the Markets grumble grumble

Like posting on BF when you're out?

Night can't be that great if you're logging on to a forum to post about it.

Didn't you write some wanky post about being upper class a while back?

I've never said I'm upper class. Ever.

Because I'm not. I've used the words upper-middle class though. Very different sociological constructs.

I was already on my phone, mates were up getting drinks, and I thought I'd give RCC a shout out.

'Twas a rather pleasant night.

Nah not really very different I wouldn't have thought.
One group acknowledges their internal belief in superiority, the other exist in a pseudoworld in which they deep down think they're the shit whilst trying to sell themselves as 'the everyday man' at the same time.

EDIT: At least Crowy can tell I'm taking the piss out of him, seems a good enough lad despite his 'upper-middle class'-dom.

Did you know Flo Rida doesn't just reference to his musical abilities, but is also 'FloRida' - named after his home?
Hahaha i actually only figured that out about 2-3 days ago and mentioned it to my mates.

My little guys first birthday party tomorrow. He won't remember a thing but I like organizing it - even though I had to cancel going to a hockey game. Haha. Year went fast.
The first is a birthday party for the adults anyway

You'd be in a bit better shape to enjoy I'd imagine, it wasn't long after your stack that he was born was it?

They're inherently different.

One (the upper class) constitutes immense wealth generated throughout many generations, has an emphasis on maintaining familial wealth, associates only with a select network of families within the same social strata, and wields a significant amount of social, economic and political power. This group constitutes the top one or two percent in a Western society. Examples include the Packer family, the Trump family and Andrew Forrest.

The other (the upper-middle class) generally constitutes a household income of between $200,000 to $750,000 per annum (it could be higher depending on the year) with net assets exceeding $1.5 million. Money may have been prevalent throughout familial generations, however not on the same level as the upper class. A great emphasis is placed on university education, a quality primary and secondary education, extensive travel, cultural awareness, and networking. Unlike the upper class, the upper-middle class (that is, the higher socioeconomic part of the middle class) associates with many different groups in society, but does generally maintain stronger relationships with people of similar means. This is mainly as a result of similar workplaces, children attending the same school, or through clubs or organisations. This group constitutes roughly fifteen percent (the 82nd to the 97th percentile) of the Australian population.

Generally speaking (especially for large businesses), the upper class own the means to the production of capital whereas the upper-middle class either manage, make decisions for, or (in the case of university professors, medical doctors, and lawyers) execute the production of capital.

Thank you, first year 'Social Sciences in Australia' elective. :$
