Wasnt near Freshwater place by any chance? I work near there and there have been a few hipster attitude giving baristas in the area, like pfffttt it's Southbank not Brunswick
Can’t remember, sorry. At the St Kilda Rd end I think.

As far as I know he wasn't racist, sexist, or homophobic so sh*t human is massively over the top. He just liked to party and screw. Nothing wrong with that.
His charity was on the shit side
Legit don't where he'd rank on a list of biggest sporting assholes though

Thats pretty unfunny and inappropriate on the day of the man's death regardless of what you thought of him.
He wasnt a criminal or a despot that deserves unfettered outright hatred. who did he ever hurt besides himself?
Personal opinion on whether you like or respect a bloke is one thing. I just find your responses on the day of his death ott and disrespectful.
And very callous in disregarding the feelings of the family and friends of the man during a grieving period.

I just don't see why we should all be in mourning for a guy who, apart from the fact that he could fling a ball around, wasn't a particularly great guy when there are people who have done a lot more for humanity who leave without fanfare. We place way too much emphasis on sports in this country and make heroes out of people who really don't deserve it. I'm sorry for his family but why is his death any more important or sadder than thousands of others who died in Australia today?

Nah they over heat the milk beyond its "optimum" temp...some uptight barristas may take exception to this in a similar way a chef might scoff at a well done steak.

You have a valid point, however I expect an "extra hot" flat white to be around 70 degrees or maybe a little more. Certainly not enough to ruin the creaminess by scalding it. This particular "extra hot" was around 45-48 degrees.

I know this shit from a) making proper coffee in the kitchen at work for some years, b) having hot water out of the tap at 70, and c) years of making food for baby birds that had to be mixed close to 50 and allowed to cool to 39-41 - and when you're feeding a couple of dozen babies five times a day you pretty soon get to accurately gauge the temperature without having to use a thermometer all the time :)

There's no "might" about chefs scoffing at well done steaks, by the way...

Its your choice whether to mourn him or not. Nobody is forcing you. But to piss on a mans grave on the day of his passing seems a bit trite. Regardless if he was a sportsman or a random name in an obituary page. I agree in principle. Both are equal to me.
A human being has died with family and friends in deep mourning. No need for the pejorative gibes imo.
And of course, thats just my opinion.

I know he was a legendary cricketer
I know he had numerous affairs - ended his marriage, but they remained friends. What I don’t know because I’m no cricket fan is what else he did that’s caused some of the vitriol that’s been directed his way. Can someone bring me up to speed.

Warne has been a figure during my whole life as a sportsperson and a social figure, and I admired his sporting abilities and I was entertained by his social habits, yes, to me that is sadder than the thousands of other people who die everyday that I don't know and don't know about.

****ed if I know.

Some would say he was unapologetically bogan. Drank, smoked, probably drugs, took banned drugs in sport, maybe was a pig to some women, you know, stuff most guys do.

cultural cringe is a huge part of it… he is possibly the most famous cashed-up bogan Australia has ever produced, and the fact he was so nationally beloved didn’t help the wider image of Australians

There’s a bit of hate for his adultery, his dodgy charity and his poor commentary but I feel like those are mostly excuses

Personally I found him a bit embarrassing as a global ambassador, but he was a hell of a cricketer and it always seemed like his heart was in the right place. Never had any airs or graces, and I always admired how he ridiculed the idiotic cult of the baggy green.

Certainly wasn’t on my list of people I’d like to see in an early grave

Plenty of people felt a sense of connection to him. If a loved one of yours passed away I wouldn’t mourn them because I didn’t know a thing about them but you would because they were important to you. Warne and all public figures who pass are the same. I wouldn’t go as far as to say I mourned his passing, I was shocked and saddened by it but the media and anyone who felt a connection to him is entitled to mourn him, just as you are entitled not to.

The right wing conspiracy theorists are blaming the booster shot. Bugger me some people are stupid
Anyone openly speculating either way is just real bizarre to me. Like this dude is dead. Just seems so classless to me.

I also find it weird that people are putting cans of VB underneath his statue.

Humans are weird.

At $50 a pack these day you'd think the ciggy packets are empty.
